repeating work? (update #2)

I just noticed this on my Dnet client

[Sep 12 05:48:20 UTC] Completed OGR stub 25/3-1-15-12-14-23 (291,631,591,925 nodes)
0.14:00:14.91 - [3,416,216.01 nodes/sec]
[Sep 12 05:48:20 UTC] Loaded OGR stub 25/3-1-15-12-14-23 (2.50% done)

Is my work going to waste? Or if I do this stub twice, will the results count for both the first and second passes.

Well I had hoped that someone else would post the bad news.
Please don't shoot the messenger, but I don't think that the second stub will count. I am sure that I read that Dnet is requiring that the second pass be done by a different person.
But I haven't been able to find the place that I read that to post it here.
Perhaps someone else can.

I'm at school now and it should be finished by the time that I get home. I guess I will just have to check mikas stats vs dnets to see if it counts or not.

BTW I have no intention of shooting the messenger. I'll just shoot myself for letting it get 30% done with the second stub before I noticed it.🙁

It seems to me like you happened to get a one in a million shot-getting the same stub twice.

Whether it gets counted or not would be another question. If it did, it would sure open the door to a lot of problems. I would just delete and start another.

All the first and second time around work that Thunderstorm has done has been credited in the stats that I am aware of...except those OGR-25 5 node stubs. :|

I actually did quite a few things in the last week which may have caused a problem, but I can't remember them all, but here are some of them:

a week or more ago I changed to cracking RC5 again. I just set the OGR project priority to 0 and changed the e-mail address to the crackhead's.

yesterday, I changed back to OGR and changed the e-mail address back to mine.

I then almost immediately booted into linux where I have the client set up to do RC5 and use remote buffers to update using the buff in from my windows client.

I was in linux for a couple hours and booted back to windows.

I then started messing with my Mcafee virusscan and ended up locking up my system several times

The first stub I listed was the one I was working on while doing all this stuff.

The second one was loaded right after the client completed working on the first one.

I have checkpoints enabled in windows client. Is it possible that it picked up the checkpoint packet and also the one that was saved in the buff-in?

Should we report this to Dnet as a bug, now that we have two instances of it happening? It sounds like the multiple crashes and the checkpoints are what did it.

I just check my stats and both stubs counted!😀

I also went over the bug reports and didn't see anything similar, but I don't have time to submit the report right now.
