My god Priebus actually had the balls to demand that President Obama denounce Lewis for questioning Trumps legitimacy. There's no sense of irony at all among the Trump camp I guess.

Some of these petty congress critters are gonna have a difficult time ahead of them. Lewis is just expressing his personal butt hurt, while trying to keep the same butt hurt alive in the democratic party. The dems don't have a lot of power right now, so it might serve them better to try and reach across the aisle and work with the new administration. If they act the fool, they stand a good chance of losing more seats in the mid terms.

Imagine the Trumpsters had Hillary won the electoral college but not the popular vote... They'd be flippin' their shit, I'm sure.

Trump & the Repubs? They're real good at dishing it out, not worth a damn at taking it.

I mean, who hasn't Trump attacked?

Shee-it, Sherlock. Repubs aren't even offering a reach around & haven't since 2010.

I have a feeling you'd be saying that even if they impeached Trump and dragged him kicking and screaming from the Oval Office.

Look, we know you want to silence Trump's critics forever. That's never going to happen as long as he's an incompetent, egocentric asshole who's had dodgy business practices and is suspiciously kind to Russia. Get over it.
If Trump does something during his term worthy of impeachment, and congress so votes, then so be it.

But until then, this story is more about the current irrelevancy the Democrats have boxed themselves into.

He doesn't seem to care much for approval ratings. It sure didn't cost him the election.

Winning the election is one thing. Actually governing is quite another. He convinced his supporters that he would deliver great things. While pandering to bigotry in his base can be useful, it'll take a lot more than that to keep 'em in the pews singing Hallelujah.

Is amazing he got elected somehow, isn't it :)

Of course he cares about approval ratings, he's a Reality TV show host and a purveyor of Trump steaks etc :p

Keep telling yourself that. Trump & the Repubs will have their way, no doubt, but Dems still run some of the most populous & prosperous states in the country. We put more into the federal treasury than we get back, so we have room to maneuver when Repubs cut fat cat taxes & federal spending. We'll still be able to do a good job for our citizens even when poorer & redder states can't.

We'll be here when Repubs' deregulated free market trickle down bullshit breaks the economy, again, just as we all know it will. For the super rich, that's a feature, not a bug, so they'll be sure to use it. We'll just have to put it back together as much as we can.

Yeah I'm not sure how anyone could say trump doesn't care about ratings with a straight face. I mean, this is the guy who would mention his poll numbers every chance he could...unless he was down in the polls.

Shit! This guy couldn't help but talk about how this group and that group liked him so much.

Lol what a stupid thing to say!

Seems to me that Trump is a master at doing what Obama did with his birth certificate and more ordinary people do to dogs using laser pointers.

I admit I completely underestimated his intelligence. I hope he intends to do good for America, because if he intends to loot the nation and burn it, neither the Democrats nor the Republicans are smart enough to stop him.

But it was Russian hacking. Somehow Russia magically influenced the election by hacking yahoo email.

Perhaps you're new to the whole concept of Representational Democracy, but the opposition doesn't just give up and go away after losing an election.

Lewis is a race baiter and should not make the claims he did, he is wrong.

His marching for civil rights is commendable, but is entirely irrelevant to the Trump Presidency

Also Trump is wrong and should just ignore the noise from the peanut gallery.

False. Check his tweet bashing Arnold's takeover on the Apprentice.

His ego DEMANDS to be #1 in all things, reality be damned.

You say you don't care for him, you might think before spinning on his behalf. It's a losing position to take.

How is Lewis a race baiter, that would be like calling Ghandi one almost.

It is very relevant.

Trump thrives on the peanut gallery. He probably was freaking out the one week or so his handlers managed to take Twitter from him.

I know you will piss on the source, but all of these are easily verified and documented. Anyone Lewis is against is always accused of being racist. That is race baiting.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/15/john-lewis-false-racism-hero-partisan/

2008: Falsely accused Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Gov. Sarah Palin of racism.

John McCain is Far from being racist.

2010: Falsely claimed that Tea Party demonstrators said the “N-word” during anti-Obamacare rally.

Never happened.

2012: Falsely accused Republicans of wanting to take Americans back to Jim Crow.

I haven't heard any Republicans with that desire.

2016: Falsely compared Donald Trump to George Wallace.

They are nothing alike. Not even close.

2016: Falsely claimed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) played no role in the civil rights movement.

There is photographic proof Bernie was active in the civil rights movement.

Here's what Lewis said. He didn't mention race-

http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news...civil-rights-icon-rep-john-lewis-854644291867

Meanwhile, Trump dog-whistled everything he could about the misperceptions among his base about urban blacks & black congressmen. Pure pandering to bigotry.

And you're dim enough to fall for it & accuse Lewis of Race baiting.

I didn't claim he said anything about race in This particular instance. I only said he was a race baiter in general, because he is.

Did you not see where I said:

" Also Trump is wrong and should just ignore the noise from the peanut gallery."

Or even print a headline on it. Instead it'll be more noise and no signal.
Turn in next week for Trump's outrageous tweet!

The only person doing any race baiting during this fracas is Donald Trump. Wear it proudly or don't wear it at all.

Poor Jhhnn. One day you'll understand the world. Just not today, apparently.

What Lewis said in not-so-many words is that all the people who voted for Trump don't matter to him, he does not respect the voters and the choices they made.

The only losing position I see are those who underestimated Trump.

His ego may demand he respond to every criticism against him, but I don't believe he pays much mind to the traditional metric of approval rating.

If he cared about approval ratings, he wouldn't rant the way he does.

The only thing magical is Conservative Republican belief in trickle-down economics and the GreatClimateChangeHoax™
