From what I've heard Nunes hasn't actually filed the suit yet, it was an intent to file or some such (IANAL). So right now this suit has only been filed in the court of public opinion.

So far the finding from that court shows that Nunes' filing is hilarious. :p

The lawsuit has actually been filed-

Nunes' lawyer, Biss, is also suing NPR on behalf of this rat fucker-

This is one of those times I really support those "GoFundMe" legal fund accounts. Or ACLU or some other advocacy group. This is bigger than that mouth breathing ass clown Nunes. This is a chilling threat on free speech and an attempt to put fear into others that can't afford getting caught up in stupid lawsuits.

Fund these people with a decent lawyer, and hope to God that the judge tells him to go fuck himself and sets the bar a bit higher for others trying to do the same.

The lawsuit won't go anywhere and Nunes knows it, but you have to spend money to defend yourself, which is why Nunes filed the suit. The real intent is, at best, to provide red meat to the paleo-conservative crowd - "help, help, I'm being oppressed". Also, there may be the intent to chill criticism with the threat of ruinous and time-consuming lawsuits. This is another time-honored tactic. In this case, the suit is being brought in Virginia, which recently strengthened its anti-SLAPP laws, allowing winning defendants to collect legal fees.

He knows perfectly well this suit is going nowhere in the courts. He didn't file it to win legally. He filed it because it is going to play well with the sort of voter who votes for someone like Devin Nunes. Look at how conservative voices are suppressed by giant liberal tech companies that are ruining America, and look at how the activist courts come down on the side of the liberal oppressors. It's a ridiculous narrative, but it will probably be eaten up by a large portion of Trump voters

I'm mad that I read the above article. Seems narcissism is a common trait of Trump followers. Mad that this publicity is disturbing his private life, yet sees that he in no way caused any thing similar to the Seth Rich family.

Thankfully, it's a temporary measure... gawd, wouldn't it be sweet if someone like Jeff Bezos swooped in, bought Fox News and promptly fired most of its personalities and leadership? Trump might actually have to listen to advisors instead of just repeating whatever Fox told him to think.

Why not, the cons have been buying up any media that's not tied down for the last 15 years. Laws being changed and all to allow consolation of media ownership, ya know by which party.

It's a smart move for Ryan to move into modeling. He wasn't a particularly effective actor. He'll look great just standing there.

well, since they sold off the entertainment division to Disney it should be a bit cheaper to do a hostile take over on the news side.
