They also pay out billions in claims each year. Shit happens and unless you have enough in savings to cover both the material goods and any damages that someone could sue for, you need some type of insurance.
Marlin if you don't understand the brief statement above then you are missing the point of insurance and all hope is lost on you.
Hopefully these posts will prevent somebody from missunderstandoing insurance and listening to you and screwing themselves over by not getting insurance they need. No not everybody needs insurance, but the reason to not buy it isn't based on environmental factors, or personal risk. EVERYBODY has risk of these accidents. As KentState said, if you do not have the savings to cover yourself, you need insurance.
