There are plans to do a TV series of Star Wars, based after episode 3.

Lucas will do everything for the 1st year and hand it off to someone else for the rest of the years.

From what I read over at TheForce.net.

Unless either J. Michael Straczynski or Joss Whedon have a hand in it, I don't want to see any part of it.

for the first 3 episodes..

Ep 3 > Ep 1 > Ep 2

Jar Jar killed Episode 1.. what partially redeemed it was the Lightsaber Battle between Qui Jon, Obi Wan, and Darth Maul. That was the best lightsaber battle in the series.

Hell, if either one of them have a hand in it, it'd actually have a shot of being a great series!

I didn't mind Jar-Jar in one, but I DESPISED him in two. I don't know why, he basically just had a cameo, but he set me off for some reason.

Any star wars fan knew that mace windu was going to die ever since he came out in Eps 1 lol. It was mentioned that all jedi died for the execption of yoda and obi in the old movies.

Not in detail. He did write the backstory and structure of Episodes 1 - 3 before making Episode 4, but he did have to go back and flush out the story more when he decided to make 1 - 3.

wow, coincidentally, I just bought it 2 nights ago...
Watched half of it, turned it off and went to bed. I watched the rest of it this morning. Script was lame. CGI for wookie planet looked very CGI-ish... Ditto for the flying birds (pterodactyl looking things) on the planet that Obiwan went to. Dialogue between Anakin and his wife was horrible.

It *did* do an excellent job, as far is showing how Anakin goes to the dark side... Otherwise, it sucked.
Anakin/Obiwan fight at the end was pretty good, as was Yoda's fight (his are always good). However, Obiwan's line "it's over, I've got the high ground" was too much of a clue of what was about to happen, and utter b.s. since having the high ground has never mattered before in all the other fight scenes with jedi, episodes 4-6, 1, and 2.

Nonetheless, it was the worst movie I've ever dropped $20 on, and I'm glad that I missed waiting in line and seeing it at midnight when it first opened (as I did for the others)

The only thing I will remeber from that crapfest is Samuel L Jacksons Purple Lightsabre (that was cool).

EDIT: Dvd shrink cant take Madagascar and my PS2 wont run it so I guess I'm stuck watching on my comp.

Who's that first guy? I'd love to see Joss Whedon's take on Star Wars in any case though, perhaps he could actually get some acting out of his characters...you know, as if they were played by real actors and what not.

And, he's there again in the final minutes of Episode 3 during the funeral procession... It's almost as if Lucas put him there to say to the fans "screw you, I'm too powerful to care about your opinion."

edit: Lucas could have made a huge improvement to episode III:

Darth Sidius: <waves hand> These are not the droids you are looking for, err, I mean, you will kill Yoda.
Jar-Jar: Meesa have a weak mind. I budo ba your bidding, massa.
later,
Yoda waves his hand and makes Jar-Jar's head explode.

EDIT: Lego Star Wars game on PS2 gave me more entertainment.

EDIT Again: I also rented Madagascar (cuz the penguins looked cool in the commercial) is it any good?

Where were you last year when people cared about this?

All 6 star wars movies suck on varying levels. The fundamental concept of star wars was great and carried the all the movies. The sinister nature of vader, the charisma of Harrison Ford, and acceptable dialogue made Ep 4-6 better than Ep 1-3.

But Ep 4-6 are riddled with stupidity of all sorts just like Ep. 1-3. The acting in Ep. 4-6 is better.

Star Wars > *.*

I personally think the Episode III was the best of them all. Let me make it clear though, i thought the dialogue (particularly the love dialogue) was particularly horrible. Other than that it was awesome. And at the end, i have never seen such a good fight scene before (Holy crap those lightsabers were just a blur or motion).

However, the original series, will always be a classic. You cant go wrong with Episode 4-6. (Harrison Ford, was awesome! .... why cant they find someone else similar to him for the other movies??)

Perhaps Tom Welling and Jessica Alba, both male and female mascots of ATOT.

Tom= Anakin
Alba= Padme

And everyone on ATOT would say this was the greatest movie ever.

Can you imagine Alba in that black leather suit Lucas designed for the romantic scene in Episode II, I certainly can!

I've heard so many people say that Mace Windu was supposed to be this badass Jedi, but I don't think he ever actually DID anything badassed...
I think he was suppose to be the best Jedi Warrior. He took down that bounty hunter like it was nothing to him. Other then that he never had any good fighting scenes. It would of been better if he took out Count Dooku instead of Anakin

yeah its pretty boring.

I like it when he gets his legs chopped off and catches fire..

and the intro is pretty good. but overall it was a crapfest :)

He's still alive! Quick, get a medical pod!
And some barbecue sauce, he looks mighty crispy.
