Removing "DX" emblem off my Civic - advice? *Added after pic*

Now all you need to finish the job is for some ricer teen to pry off your Honda emblem with a screwdriver.

Take off the back honda emblem too. I personally like a badgeless vehicle, but that is just me. It's not like people won't know you are driving a Honda... 🙂

If I made it badge-less I'd have to take off the front badge also. Wouldn't the front of the car look a little odd if it was missing? I wonder what it looks like underneath that front badge... Any idea?

I have a '97 Civic EX and it has black door handles and and steel wheels.

It looks weird. Speaking from painful experience here. I T-boned some jackass in my '00 Civic DX hatchback and the Honda badge came off in the process. Fortunately, he admitted fault (he pulled out right in front of me and I had no chance to stop or avoid him) and his insurance took care of the front end. I think your debadging job looks pretty good, but ditch the "Civic" part and just leave the "H" badge on the back and front.

I never once said I intended on putting any fake decal/badges on my car. You guys are funny.

And yeah, I think it looks a lot better. I'm not to hide that its a Civic, I LIKE my Civic because of what it is. I just think it looks a lot better with the civic and dx badges removed. 😀

Ok, I did a real quick photochop of your car without decals:

Front

Rear

EDIT: Just saw a Civic today that had it's Honda decal removed on the back. It had factory screw holes under it... so I wouldn't remove it. 🙂

I'm going to leave the Honda emblem, I think it looks good, having it removed makes the car look odd IMO.
