Removal of lead from one's body?

Is there a way to remove lead from one's body? Can lead be magnetized? I'm just wondering cause if there was a way to remove lead from one's body, would the effects of lead poisoning go away?

The chelating agents is news to me, but generally the accepted fact is that lead stays in the body for life.

I learned that many times over in high-school and in the Navy.
We use lead-based paint for pretty much everything on the ship. Also had circuit board repair school and we went over lead safety again.
 
It is also intriguing, and possibly not coincidental to note that, lead poisoning can cause insanity. 😀
 
One of the effects of eating lead paint chips is lower intelligence/mental retardation. Sorry, Goku, your problems aren't reversible. 😛 🙂

I grew up in a house that was made in the 70s, sorry but there aren't any flaking peices of paint in or around my house since my dad was always working on it.

Yeah, but that's vaporized lead that goes straight to the bloodstream. Would you actually digest a solderball or would it just pass straight through your digestive tract?

1970s, that would be perfect if it was built in the early part since lead based paint wasn't federally banned until 1978. And flaking paint left alone is better than paint being improperly removed (sanding, cutting, etc with improper ventilation)
