Wasn't sure if this was the best place or not, but it relates to Windows so here goes...
Looking to setup some kind of remote file access to a computer at home when I am not there. I'm not interested in Dropbox or SkyDrive or anything that uploads my documents to a server. I'm also looking for something that will allow me to transfer large file sizes (2gb+) from the computer at home across the internet to wherever I'm at.
I found this potential option:
http://web.synametrics.com/synamandownload.htm
However it limits me to one user for the free version. Everything else appears to do what I want.
Would like to be able to setup a couple users if possible. Prefer a free solution but open to suggestions. I know I can do RDP transfer but that can be slow and it is not always something I want to do. There will be people that do not RDP into the computer transferring files to/from.
I also have nothing against setting up a server to run this off of. It'd be in a VM though. Anyone have thoughts on this?
