Internet Connect. Small Edmonton, Canada based company. Extremely good service, great speed, excellent overall. $20/month for unlimited and 5 emails...this was...'97 I think? Back on the P200...

After that I switched to Shaw@Home Cable and those are my only 2 ISP's.

CompuServe. My dad got so mad at me, I racked up like a $70 bill being an online dating superstud/pioneer.

First ISP was Prodigy back in '90 or so. Ran in DOS on a 286 with a 2400 baud modem.

My first was AOL back in 93 or 94. I remember racking up quite the monthly bill when I would play text-based MUDs all day and night before AOL went to unlimited billing. I'm still using the same screenname that I started with back then, but now with AIM.

After AOL came IDT (that was god awful), then Tsoft (now known as Raw Bandwidth Communications I think), then Earthlink, and now Covad.

Sadly, it was pseudo-ISP, America Online. Was free, so I couldn't complain...

If you want to count CompuServe, that was my first online service apart from BBS's, but my first real ISP was (and still is) a local one called Channel 1.

I think it's 1997 or 1996 with AOL 2.5. I use my Intel Inside 486DX2 at 66 mhz.

La, La, La, America Online was so easy to use, no wonder it's number ONE!

Proud AOL member from 1996 or 1997 till PRESENT

Well, I am using AT&T Cable Broadband right now, but I still kept my AOL because I don't want to change e-mail address.....

Damn...when I first learned about what the Internet REALLY was in 1998 or so(read: NOT AOL), I was nursing an AOL screenname from a friend. After that, during the rush of all those free ISPs, I jumped about with Netzero, Juno, Freewwweb, FreeI.net, and almost all the others...never had a real pay ISP.

anyone remember the maze game (labarynth?) that prodigy had? way back in the day, gosh, 10 years ago? at least? prodigy sucked pretty bad, not much you could do with it. i think my dad checked stock prices or something. maybe sports scores? actually, had to be more like 12-13 years ago. yikes.
