Remember that shutdown Trump WILL have?

I’m saying 43% of voters wanting it is no small number. You can try to pretend it’s trivial if you want

Congrats on redifining the word popular, which now means less than a majority, and non-trivial. One can be counted, the other is based on feels.

Thanks for the laugh btw, you're concerned with trivial matters on the reg.

So, he shut down the govt because Dems wouldn't give him Wall funding. Now he claims victory when there is no Wall funding & is somehow believed.

If I were a religious person, I'd think he was a manifestation of the Great Satan himself. Maybe he is.

I think he’s just senile and a fine example on why we should have 70+ year olds running everything. I fortunately we as a country somehow have the mindset you have to be over retirement age to even be considered for office.

obama wasnt, bush jr wasnt, clinton wasnt

burn it down feels good tho.

Used in the context not meaning shared by most but rather is something popular, not in the context of votes. A band doesn’t have to be liked by 51% of America to be considered popular for instance.

That’s because the rest of America is probably indifferent. If more than half of America actively disliked the band and said they shouldn’t exist the band would be described as unpopular because that’s literally the definition of unpopular.

I don’t understand why you’re trying this Orwellian manipulation of language to say something with majority disapproval is popular. This is absurd.

Guys, despite having about the most consistently low approval rating for a president in modern history Trump is a popular president because 42% of people approve of him.

Your abuse of the English language is quite impressive. Trump's age isn't the problem.

Comparing national policy to band popularity is an absurd concept.

n/m. It's not worth any more time. Never argue with an idiot....they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Trump admin is like the band Nickelback. I'm told they're wildly popular, in spite of not knowing a single person who purchased an album, song, concert tickets, t-shirt, etc....and if they did, probably wouldn't admit it anyways.

Well for policy. But I think it’s ok to compare politicians to bands.

Take Ted Cruz (please 🙂 ). He’s the Nickleback of politicians. Both are originally from Canada, were inexplicably popular and both absolutely suck.

Edit. God damn it @ch33zw1z !

Bands are like slimy invertebrates? That's harsh.

The people refusing to pay for the wall were never Trump voters anyways. His base doesn’t care if Mexico paying was a lie which everyone knew it was when he said it. They want a damned wall. They don’t care if taxpayers pay. Hey don’t care about your arguement that it won’t work or some nonsense about PR. They want a wall.

And those people who want this wall are the political minority. America voted on the wall on November 6th, and the pro-wall voters lost. Bigly. Elections have consequences.

The midterms weren’t a referendum on the wall, it was a referendum on Trump. You think people showed up to the ballot box to cast the vote against the wall, that it was this big driving force lol?

And what do you think the referendum in 2020 will be?
