Before you guys get all gestapo on this guy, is there an outside chance he doesn't know he has stolen stuff? ie. he bought it from the real crooks and is now reselling it on eBay?

Anyway ... good luck!

And they gave him a picture of my car with his stolen supercharger?

I didn't think you could legally part a car if you didn't have the title to it... so either way, he's toast.

I am not a law major or anything, but I would assume that if they are aftermarket parts, you could part em. but like I said, i have no clue 😛

I think that only applies to standard parts. The supercharger didn't come with the car when it was new, right?

true. But the tail lights are standard. Dunno about the exhaust.

I haven't seen the other auctions so I didn't know. I read someone mention the tails and the exhaust but thought those might be after market as well.

But hey, just as a point of conversation, if I were to replace my exhaust with one of those really cool fast & the furious ones (errr) could I not sell my old one?

It could very well be just as was suggested that the person selling the parts thinks they have a legitimately purchased vehicle. It isn't that hard to fake a title, at least the paper version.

Of course it could be someone who damn well knows the car isn't legit and just decided to take a risk because of how much you can get selling anything on eBay. (or, alternatively, nothing)

This is definitely the most interesting thread that has been created on ATOT in quite some time.

If you pull a Syringer and don't inform us of the outcome, though, we'll have to hunt you down and kill you.

Good luck!

Ebay is full of asshats, I dealt with an ADA in NY last month over a stolen notebook, he said they couldn't get crap out of eBay even with a subponea.

Bid on & win that auction, you'll get his address, etc, & it may be the only way you'll get the info.

Worst case you may get 1 negative feedback, best case, the guy will be in jail & not be able to leave it...

Sure, but you own the car, and the title, so nothing wrong there....

Totally agreed (on all points, if this gets Syringer'd, you'll never live it down 😉 ). I hope the asshat gets nailed to the wall.

Dunno ... maybe he bought the SC from the guys before it was off the car, and took a pic at that time because he wanted to get the eBay listing up while the crooks removed it??

Not saying it's not the real crooks running the auction ... but it's something to consider.

google his number (assuming it's not a cell) and go (with the police) and get your car back.

A friend of mine found an auction for the same model supercharger I had stolen from me last january. Lo and behold, the picture of the blower is a picture of My car. It's exactly the same as my car was, every little detail makes it obvious that it is my stolen car in the picture.

I'm not going to post a link, because I don't need the auction ended early because someone from here decided to email the seller and scare him away.

I've already called the police.
Sweet delicious taste of REVENGE!!!
Serve it cold with a side of Wjoop ass.... mmmm serves many!!! 😀

Good luck with that....
