If you have to go back so many years to try to find Bible-inspired violence on par with the jihadism of today then that says something about the relative propensity of violence.
this. Anytime somebody responds to modern islamic violence by mentioning the crusades you know they've lost the argument.

What about all the anti-abortionist bombings from the 80's or the gay beatings from then and in the 90's?

The Jihadism movement that is talked about in the news was a term started in the 90's also so it has a lot to catch up to. ;)

How many people died from those events that are directly attributable to Christian beliefs? Exactly. Islamists literally kill more people on the average day than all those things combined.

Pssh, both religions can't touch the over 100 million that communism has killed in the past century.

Seems to me one side needs to aim higher.

He was making humor :awe:

Nowhere in The Bible does it condone forcing your religion on people.

Your denial prowess is amazing! Even with hard proof you continue to deny.

Victorian would be doing good to read that link that blastingcap posted.

...or maybe a book or two :p

So you apparently understand your own religion as poorly as you understand Islam. That's seems to be a pattern with bigots.

You're quick to assert and insult;Let's see you back that up.

Your assertion: The Bible condones forcing Judaism or Christianity upon unwilling people.

Good Luck!

PS:I have read The Bible.
..and a couple books on Islam a few years ago..ok..many years ago. :$

i.e: You got nothin'

Read your Bible and get back to us.

btw, look up the history of forced conversion practiced by Christians on, for example, the Saxons, the Vikings, the native populations of North, South and Central America, Large chunks of Africa, the aboriginal populations of the South Seas, Australia and New Zealand. That's probably enough examples to keep you busy for a while.

ah ah ah ...
All these things your are listing are not mentioned in The Bible.
The Bible was done being written by 200 AD.
I'm fairly certain that was wayyy before any of those things you're bringing up. 800-1000-1400 years?
for someone who doesn't know what that is..
AD=A.C.E
..and you haven't read the rest of the thread if you don't ;)

a) The Bible does not support forced conversion to their religion.
b) The Quran does.

Forced conversion was done by the Catholic church only. They've got lots of rules & regulations NOT found in the bible and are pretty un-biblical in their implication.

The inquisition was ugly... but look what they had to purge. Islam had to go.

You can't be serious.

Noah and the flood, the conquest of Canaan, the entire book of Revelation. .

Your own posts are all the proof needed of your bigotry and you can go debate the Bible with someone who gives a damn.

Interesting reaction... when someone backs you into a corner, you claim it's no longer important enough to give a damn about. ;)

Show me where it says to forcefully convert someone.
You can't.The conquest of Canaan was a 1-time event, not an open decree.

Victorian forgot to mention the IRA ;)
They actually were/are Christian terrorists.

You don't know your own religion, it's history, or, even, the history of it's central holy book and you're going to tell the world about Islam?!

You're a cliche come to life. It's an amazing thing to witness.

I really don't. Far as I'm concerned (all) religion could disappear tomorrow and it would mean less to me than my decision as to what cereal to eat in the morning.

Op opens with youtube and facebook and backs it up with religionofpeace.com

You are lost my child, only by totally surrendering yourself through Jesus can you be saved

Valid point..
but umm..
I didn't use that site for the rhetoric;I used it because it has the verses from the Quran listed.80% or so are in the proper context.

I suppose I could go back, use the biased site to get the verses and copy them from an Islamic site.

btw..The Bible does not support forced Christianization anywhere.

You provided links to it happening 3-400 years after The Bible was complete;and not by prophets of The Bible.
well..alleged links..because....Wikipedia.
The Quran has Mohammed forcing conversions.
History has Mohammed forcing conversions.
The Bible has 0 prophets or disciples forcing conversions.

There's really no point in ever arguing with bigots. For one thing, they're never honest, and for another, nothing is going to come of it anyway. Seriously, what do you think you're going to accomplish? Repeal freedom of religion? Genocide on over a billion people because their beliefs are different than yours? Forcibly convert them? Of course not, you don't have that power and never will. Your hate is impotent.
