You can up with your own conclusion on what it means when an independent organization in the FBI says it is "minimally corroborated." And the director states that is "Salacious and unverified."

I would say that makes anything in it questionable, especially as evidence. If your a proven liar are you going to be a good witness in court? Probably not.

Careful. Those are Lying Devin Nunes' words, not the direct words from this independent unit of the FBI.

Minimally corroborated = partially true (and not necessarily partially untrue...just mostly unsubstantiated to date.)

Okay, so now we know how dumb you are. Thank you.

Sorry, you're probably not dumb. You just have a severe case of confirmation bias. I hope you can find your way out of it.

I'm giving a realistic interpretation on why this memo was released in the first place. You may not be a fan of the memo but the fact is that the Dossier was viewed as DNC funded(for the purpose of getting dirt on Trump) and was used to start FBI investigations. I think it probably got out of control further than the DNC wanted including starting the Russian investigation but that is the narrative.

The memo itself states that the dossier wasn't the start of the russia investigation by pre-dating it with Papadopolus info.

The tinfoil hats on the liberal side of the fence are saying Nunes and Trump released this memo to signal something to Russia... there's no good explanation otherwise for this swing and a miss..."there's no there there"

This confusion again? The start of an investigation and the request for a subsequent warrant are two different things.

You're really going in circles. I think you should wait for further talking points from President Hannity.

Sock puppets are going to need better talking points. You might want to slow down until you get them.

Oh please, that's what I was saying early today. Many folks here though already know it's all lies, without knowing anything about the underlying facts.

Holy shit...keep in mind that Gowdy has seen the underlying intelligence here.

There's a reason he's retiring to "serve justice"... he's jumping ship from GOP before shit hits the fan.

Trey. Benghazi. Gowdy. Jumping. Ship

Steele went to Yahoo News? lmao(That is bad judgement). I find the part about Strozk moving from counter intelligence division to HR because of a text with a mistress. I am surprised he didn't get fired, he must have some dirt on some people on inside at the FBI!

The source of the article is Steele, so who cares if it's CNN or whatever that publishes content about it.

Can you explain to me what causes someone to register an account almost a year ago, lay dormant and then just magically starts shitposting in one thread? How does that work exactly?

Engaging in dialogue, pointing out errors and cautioning restraint is shit posting now? Or is it only when someone disagrees with you?

IF you must know, i signed up long ago to partake of Anandtech give aways, and lurk here on occasion. I happened to be extra amused by the one-sidedness of the whole "nothingburger" angle.

If you would offer actual evidence in your posts they might be more interesting. As it they stand now, they are polite shit posting so I can guess we can call them poop posting.

Congrats on your poop posting.

So while the news cycles have been absolutely dominated by this low energy memo lets step back and look at other things that have happened in the last few days...

1) Rick Gates (the guy indicted with Manafort) just lost all but one of his lawyers. Hmmmm....
2) Three Russian intelligence officials who are sanctioned and not even allowed in our country met with the heads of our intelligence community ON OUR OWN TURF
3) Hope Hicks is in quite a legal pickle and a caught between a perjury conviction, obstruction of justice conviction or being a willing to testify.
4) Ben Carson handed out half a million no-bid contract to his kid-inlaw.
5) Sanctions against Russia passed as law to vote of something like 531-4 in favor of sanctioning. The deadline to impose came and Trump has done NOTHING.

While we are spinning our wheels on this massive non-story all that other stuff is going on.

The Grand Deceptor is hard at work.

You haven't been offering anything but speculative GOP talking points as supporting evidence. You are telling everyone else to wait and see while not doing so yourself. You keep bringing up McCabe and his testimony with only this memo from Nunes who has been shown to be completely dishonest and manipulative. Remember the whole "I had to run to the president and tell him this important information I just found out about!!!.... which was given to me yesterday by the White House". Meanwhile several other agencies, parties, including many republicans are saying this memo is completely misleading but you don't seem to care about that fact.

That's quite a spin. First, the memo's veracity hasn't been proven or disproven yet, so thats why I said "wait and see". Second, some (loud) folks seem convinced it's discredited already, sans any conclusive evidence themselves. Third, where is your evidence that Nunes has been shown to be completely dishonest and manipulative? Fourth, where is your evidence that "many Republicans" are saying the memo is completely misleading?

I don't see where it confirms or denies its relevance in the current Russian investigation. I think there are some implications that the Dossier was used to get illegal FISA warrants and extensions which might link it (it was extended 4x, 90days after all) but I don't think you can say its not related. That certainly isn't confirmed in the memo. Are you saying Papdopolus was the start of the Russian election interference back in July 2016?
