every morning when school starts, the whole school stands up and says the plegde of allegiance together. not a big deal, it takes 10 seconds and it gives you a sense of national pride. well, there is 1 girl in my class that does not say the pledge. hell, she doesnt even have the respect to stand up. i want to show her footage of US soldiers dying horrible deaths in bastogne and normandy and many many other nasty battles. the hundreds of thousands of soldiers died to preseve her freedoms and she doesnt even have the respect to honor them. one of these days i am going to say something to her and it aint goona be nice. one of my grandfathers worked in a munitions plant in world war 2, the other was shot 3 times, once in normandy, twice in the battle of the buldge, and my father served in vietnam. i have a sense of national pride and im not saying she has to be as patriotic as me, but she needs to show some respect for the flag or GTFOH
They died for her right to NOT be forced to recite a pledge. Freedom of speech includes freedom of no speech as well.
And did you know that if she's a Jehovah's Witness, she cannot say the pledge?
