Bump. Need your help. Can someone verify that this is only a bare card? No accessories included? On the description it stated that it was missing only the DVI to VGA adapter, and the Software. Did someone order this before with similar descriptions and get a bare card? Today there is a AIW 7500 and it clearly states "**NO SOFTWARE, GAMES OR ACCESSORIES INCLUDED**. I'm new ordering from newegg. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I got in on a Radeon 8500 64mb oem... it looked ghetto when it arrived, because the packaging was already opened, and I was kind of nervous. However, I stuck it in and powered it on, and after about 5 minutes of playing with it, I overclocked it to 275/310 (cpu/memory) and it was rock solid... that with my AMD 1700XP o/c to 2000XP... ran it all night long with Sisoft Sandra, and with 3dMark got 8762... not the best, but not too shabby!

I got an AIW 128MB 8500 from newegg refurb. said it didnt come with software or dvi connector as it was BULK/ OEM> Came with everything even the dvi to vga adapter. very happy. remote and everything shrink wrapped. This is my 4th experience with newegg refurbs. I had one mobo that was bad. called them they replaced with new one and shipped overnight fedex. Great great company for refurbs. DO not hesitate. Even if it is fubar they will make good on it if its reasonable.

whelp, just bought the AIW 8500 128MB Barebones, OEM Refurb from newgg for $212....hopefully it comes with all the accessories like everyone's said.....if not, oh well..i guess i'll eat the cost

hehe...if you have any input on this, (ie. i'm not gonna get the cables/remote) let me know, so i can hurry up and cancel that order

and at $212, that's the best price i've seen for the 8500/128.....

Unlucky or too impulsive I am. Just got the AIW 8500dv 64mb. You guys were right. I just got a bare card. I knew it was too good to be true. Hope the 4 others who ordered have better luck. Anyway I will be returning this card, so anyone interested in a bare card with no accessories AIW 8500dv 64mb OEM/bulk. They should resell this again and get a 15% restocking fee. Oh well took a gamble and lost. PrplHaz4444 concrats on geting the aiw 8500 128mb. I think you should get everything because it does not say bulk right after the main title. Also I don't think they sell real OEM 8500 128mb yet.

Keep the fingers crossed, if you summarize the thread, it seems that getting OEM refurbished stuff from New Egg, is a crapshoot game.

I just got my 8500DV 64mb card today. It came with everything
All cables, VGA to DVI adapter, remote (BIG PLUS!), instructions...oh, and the card
I'm not sure what's in the 8500DV Retail Box so I'm not positive if I got everything, but it's gotta be dang close.

Some of the cables look like someone ripped the plastic bag open, and the remote instructions look a bit "ghetto" as someone said earlier.

I'm going to throw it in my machine and see what happens.

well i just got my card a few minutes ago from Fedex. I think it came with everything but the DVI dongle. well, i didn't know that the AIW only had DVI output so I'm gonna need to buy a DVI-CRT converter now. Anybody know any local stores to buy from (so i can test the card immediately)

i didn't find any places that sell the dvi to vga adapter....i just got mine on ebay....and saved a couple bucks doing so....
(ATI wants $5 + $15 shipping!!!)

thanks for the link hcarlson. I knew newegg was selling it too, but I wanted to see if I could get one locally so that I could get it faster and not have to wait on shipping. Well, I guess I'll probably have to order from there.

Anyways, I got my card today but its clocked at 225/190. Anybody else get there's like this? or is yours clocked higher?

nevermind, I'm reading some reviews now. The AIW was meant to be clocked lower at 230/190, only the regular 8500's are clocked at 275/275

sounds like my experience as well. I have bought three motherboards and several power supplies. The great thing is that they offer free shipping on the 'furbs so if you buy something with a low rate of failure IE: power supplies, etc
then you can get cases and PSU's cheaper separately than together
