alright, I ordered one. Was waiting for someone to confirm that it's a hot deal, but seeing as how this is an ATI AIW Radeon 8500DV I couldn't resist any longer.

Another deal for the 8500DV retail is at Curcuit City. Use the 110% price match with buy.com to get the price down to $185 then use the $50 rebate that they have to get the price down to 135. Not as good as newegg, but it's retail.

I know that the clock may be a tad slower 250 GPU /230 Mem compared to 250 GPU /250 Mem.
But it's nothing that a bit of overclocking couldn't fix.

I recently got an AIW 7500 from newegg. It was only the card, no cables or remote. I had a couple of cables from an older AIW card but only one would work. I had to order the two adapters from ATI and they cost me $25 with shipping. Consider that before you get a barebone AIW.

the dv has firewire ports and only 64 MB RAM and is slower, the AIW 128 has 128 MB RAM, and I think the remotes are different?

got an 8500dv retail box refurb for 162 shipped 2 weeks ago from newegg. Came with everything, including the DVI to VGA adaptor they said didn't come with it. The tuner on the card, however was hosed. I just rma'd it to ATI and they cross shipped me one in 3 days. New one works beautiful.
