Hey all, I've been doing a lot of research to try and answer my question, but I still need a little help.
I just bought an HP laptop with a 160GB X25-M G2 already installed, and I would like to do a repartition and clean install of Win7.
Main reason is because HP reserves a partition for recovery data on the drive, and since I've burned my recovery DVDs, I would like that 18.5GB back. It seems like a good idea to leave some of it as spare unpartitioned space. If I just do the repartition/format through the Windows Installation, will that get the job done? Or should I be doing a special format?
Also, I'm planning to update the firmware from 02HA to 02HD before doing any of this.
Thanks for the help!
