I usally go overseas to download the recently released, popular distros (the popular U.S. links are either too busy or slow on the new items). I was able to complete the download all 5 cds in less than 2 hrs. from http://ftp.kreonet.re.kr/pub/Linux/redhat/linux/8.0/en/iso/i386/ (used flashget). I've found this gem from here. Try several places and go for the fastest link.
Thanks, I used this mirror yesterday and got about 500 kb/s.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize until today that only the first 3 CDs are required. The last 2 are SRPMS, which most of us don't need. Hopefully this saves someone else a bit of time. I think Red Hat used to name the .iso files more meaningfully.
