Hunh? BTW, I've seen many of your past posts in OT...you're one to talk of bitterness.

What does OT have to do with P&N? In OT you were a fun guy whose posts I enjoyed. Now you are a bitter individual that comes awfully close to being a full blown troll. So, if you want to bring OT up -- you've managed to downgrade yourself.

Oh bullshit. Talk about trolling. You're an exert. You should stop targeting people with your garbage. conjur's posts are far more informed and reasoned than your constant sniping.

I still think it's very elitist to call people elitists. Hell, I don't even know what an elitist is. You probably need years of school to know.

My post was on topic.

An "on topic" troll - yes. Just another example of you expressing your condescending elitist attitude.

Will you knock this god damned elitist crap off or tell me what the hell an elitist is so I can play too.

An elitist is someone who posts this and actually believes it.
..or you could just look in your mirror;)

One who propounds from on high the deeds of their ascension for the world to thereby know their special status. An 'Elitist' cannot be defined by words alone. The definition must be accompanied by the sounds of the masses gathered below. Gathered below to pay homage and genuflect in the certain knowledge of the greatness above.

Southern and Midwestern states, again, top off the generosity index. The region?s high generosity level has been attributed to the practice of tithing - giving a tenth of one?s earnings to the church.

Nuf said.

Thanks, LR. I had a notion that somehow an elitist would resemble Caddy, somebody who was a true believer who couldn't possibly be anything but right. I found further substantiation from Caddy himself when he said to look in my mirror. Naturally my mirror is Caddy saying to look in the mirror and of course he whom he sees in the mirror he wants me to look in.

This may be relavent. At my school which is about 85% republican and 15% democrat according to a campus wide presidential mock election we had a "vote for charity booth". At which you would put money in a jar marked either Kerry, Bush, Nader, or thanks to someone a piece of paper with "none of the above" scribbled. Anyway after the first day Kerry had around $20, nader with $14, and bush with $2. So this is what people had put in before they knew what other candidates had recieved. The second day after this was seen it was more like kerry $45 nader $20 Bush $50 and NOTA $0.35. Anyway this continued to the last day where it ended around Kerry $200 Nader $30 Bush $160 and NOTA $5.42 or so.

Point is at a school where 90% of the people are of above average income, and 85% of them are conservative, they couldn't be bothered to give more money to a charity (for kids with cancer) than the other 15% of the population.

As for the tithing, while a legitimate charity, a LOT of it goes to the upkeep of the Church itself, which while technically is charity, may not strike many people as quite as powerful as a cancer charity. (Don't get me wrong I know a lot if not all churches do true charity work, but I'm just saying a lot of what people write of as charity is going to pay for the benches/pues/bibles that they use.)
