One of the advantages of buying a car AT 100k miles is that you'll have a pretty good idea what the condition will be like at 110k miles...and the odds of getting to 200+k miles 🙂

...because miles, like sampling, improves predictability. If a car runs great and is fit and tight fitting @ 100k, it has a proven track record and is unlikely to fall apart 10k miles later...and will as likely, if properly maintained, "go the distance"...

Camry Hybrid is looking pretty good, a little more than I wanted to spend, but seems like it would be a great car and last me 150K easily.

GW....
I see that 2005/2006 Camrys (the last years of the Gen5 Camry that started in 2002) with 80-100k miles have been selling for $5500 to $6500...a very good value.

The Camrys use timing chains now...since 2002...

As what to look for, I'd put a maintenance history/log as my 1st request from the seller...and then take it to an indie mechanic/body shop for a complete inspection...typically $50-100...

Ohh yeah....My Buick Regal can also haul 20 foot lumber better than my F150. (6.5 ft bed)
