Yeah, I love it so far. It's as good as my old CRT, as far as I can tell, only way bigger.

Plus I have fully-functional aspect ratio scaling! (something that has plagued my girlfriend for over a year)

You should seriously stop being such a stubborn idiot and actually read up some more about various LCD's. Yes TN panels have their drawbacks but many really aren't half as bad as people say. I was in a draw between the Doublesight and BenQ 2400w. In the end I opted for the BenQ even though its TN panel, I have absolutely no regrets about it. There is no back light bleeding and the viewing angles are MORE than enough to see the colors in their full vibrance, not to mention I saved a couple hunderd bucks.

Your budget is 600-1000 so if you're really so intent on spending that much then what are you waiting for? Just get the doublesight... it's a pretty unanimous vote that its one of the best S-IPS panel monitors.

It seems *most* people say TN for gaming, non-TN for everything else, I agree. I had a Westinghouse L2410NM, with 8ms response, 1000:1, 180 degree viewing angle, and ended up changing to a samsung TN 2ms, 3000:1, 160 degree viewing, and I noticed the difference. I MMO alot, and I tend to play very critical toons where a little lag can wipe a raid. I had to overcompensate with the Westy.

Just MHO and my experience. The viewing angles
