is pfsense or ipfw really that non-standard?

i want:
cisco call manager express (pbx, auto attendant, ability to route calls, sip) to cbeyond
50 phones - like 7960
decent firewall (dual-wan static) - ie cbeyond static 13 ip and comcast business 13 ip
high speed dual-wan failover (http/https/ping methods or combination tunable per wan port)
dns (to prevent dns failure when wan starts to go wonky)
vpn (dual-wan compatible)

providers provide the gateway routers (comcast/cbeyond)

throw a switch in between the gateway routers and dual-wan firewall/voice sip so i can push machines directly on the net or have the ability for dual-wan router to handle 100% pass-thru (no nat no firewall) without vlan tagging (physical vlan is cool).

I know an ISR will do this - but i am not assuming responsibility for the T-1's so i don't need that kind of power.

Any ideas guys? I get mad mad discounts on cisco gear - which is why i prefer.

I would take a look at a Cisco ASA 5505. They come in 10, 50, and unlimited user models. Any of the lower user models can be upgraded with a license to the higher capacities. Also add on the AnyConnect Essentials license for VPN connectivity.

There's no sense in using a separate device when the functionality is present in the firewall.
:sneaky:

With that mentality, why bother having a hammer when a rock will get the job done? Choose the right tool for the job, dont try to shoehorn something just because it can be done
