Recommend a car sub/amp combo!

I'll second the elementaldesigns recommendation, great subs.

Nutdoenet, how much bass do you want? Do you want to hear it, feel the windshield vibrate a bit, or be heard a few blocks away?

U.S. Acoustics is a good choice, I have their U.S. Acoustics 2200, nutdotnet, remember my other post about grounding? Well anyway, after researching for a really long time I went w/ U.S. Acoustics 600 watt mono amp for only $120 shipped from ZED! Pounds my 1 12" Polk MOMO really NICE! My cousin has 2 12" 1000watt subs....I think they are Wolfenhag or something, and even my setup kicks its ass......even he admitted it!.........hehee........good research pays off!

Viperoni- I like somewhat heavy hitting bass. But I like the tight, punchy sound. I'm not really into that booming stuff.

I listen to rock mainly, but I like to cruise around playin hip-hop with a nice system.

hmmm, lets see.

talk to ben at www.edesignaudio.com and see what he can do for your shipping.

one 15A from edesignaudio. (300$ or so, i forget)

one tsunami 1100d, from edesignaudio

wiring from www.knukonceptz.com

xx feet of 1/0 ga.
1/0 to 4 gauge, distro block
x feet of 4 guage.
xx meters of rca cable.
x feet of 16 ga. speaker wire.

ported, box, built to spec @ eD.

and you will be loud.

might need some sound dampening too, lol, but that would just cost some more

their subs are amazing. i have 4 12.14k's and a db1100, and its loud. you will be very loud too, but due to the surface area, i (neglecting any errors) should be louder, and at volume 15, out of 35 on my kenwood h/u gain on the amp at 40%, its loud, volume 30 = hard to breathe.

their subs can compete in SQ with many subs multiple times their cost. also there is no label on the cone (if you can call it a cone, its flat)

just call them up, and see if they can arrange anything.

MIKE

That'll be way too much for me. I am going to use a sealed enclosure. I am looking for hard hitting, good-sounding bass as opposed to mind-boggling stuff. But their stuff looks great! I may check them out.

rbloedow- I can't forget about crutchfield. Like I said before. After shipping from most places crutchfield is actually cheaper.

um, it will be AMAZING sounding, AND mind blowing. yes there is that ability.

you could go sealed.!!

or you could get a 12O, and an avionixx 400.2, sealed box. it will go low, and be decently loud to boot.
