recomendation 4 PIIII 1.000ghz and 256of pc800ecc?

i840 requires you to have 2 strips of ram because it is dual channel. If you have a single strip of 256, then the i840 is not the best option.
 
look for the asus i820 setup. I have the sdram version and I'm very happy with it. the rdram version should be even better 🙂
