recomendation 4 PIIII 1.000ghz and 256of pc800ecc?

I just got these and wondering if i should step up to the plate and buy an 840 or is there an alternative ?

i840 requires you to have 2 strips of ram because it is dual channel. If you have a single strip of 256, then the i840 is not the best option.

look for the asus i820 setup. I have the sdram version and I'm very happy with it. the rdram version should be even better
