7.1 Channel Dolby Digital EX Surround Receiver - TX-SR602S Silver Manufacture Reconditioned.

Do u think thay would be ok beeing reconditioned and all?

Specs look very similar on those units.

If you had a brand of speakers picked out it would be best to try to find someone or somewhere that you could do a demo and see what you liked more.
I don't know if it's worth the effort and hassle to do that at this pricepoint though.

Either one should be good.

Ahh well nvm on the SR602 thay want like 40 bux shipping + another 6 somethin for handleing. The AVR-1705 is only 8.99 shipping. Unless i go cheap on the speakers....

Oh ya and with that receiver will i be able to have sorround wound from my computer?

Thats a fine choice as a receiver. What sound card do you have? You will be able to get surround sound by using analog (using adapters to change the 1/8th inch to RCA), or if you have a card capable of dolby digital live encoding (but I doubt that) then you can use digital coax/optical.

For just $220 you are limiting yourself in terms of a surround setup. At that point you are better off building a system from the ground up..slowly.

Well for 220 unless i get a cheaper RX what should i start out with? Also im just useding the built in audio from my mobo (Abit AN8-SLI)

Whats the feture diffrentces on the 502? I read it has alot less for 20 bux. Also i dont rilly like the front design... Looks cheap

Don't trust ecost on the features.

Looks like the main difference is 7.1 vs 6.1
Also, looks like the 503 has one more component input (3 vs 2)

Other than that I think they're pretty much the same thing.

502 rear (drag and drop link)

503 rear

I dident look off of ecost for the specs, Onkyo's web site dosent eavn have the 502 i just read in some reviews that it had a good amount less fetures.

Eather way what would i get for 20 bux more if i do get the 502?

Also what receiver is in the 770? 🙂

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 770s come with pretty much a 502... and I think the 780 comes with a 503?
