A word of warning for local voters, CBS 58 has received several reports of unattributed robocalls suggesting that people who signed a recall petition don't have to show up and vote on Tuesday. This is not the case. You must vote Tuesday if you have not already by absentee ballot.
We've confirmed reports of voter suppression calls to recall petition signers. These calls tell signers that their "job is done" and that they don't need to vote on Tuesday.

Wisconsin recall battle finally goes to voters
The battle over Gov. Scott Walker's agenda has attracted millions of dollars from out of state, campaign volunteers from across the country and months of concentrated attention from the two major political parties.
But on Tuesday, the only voices that matter will be those of Wisconsin voters deciding whether to keep Walker or fire him and hand his job to the Milwaukee mayor. After more than a year in the national spotlight, both sides are preparing for a razor-thin margin.
Polls show Walker, a Republican just 17 months into his term, with a small lead over Democrat Tom Barrett.
Walker's lieutenant governor, Rebecca Kleefisch, and three Republican state senators also face recall votes Tuesday. In addition, voters will fill a fourth state Senate seat after the Republican incumbent resigned rather than face the recall.
Anger over Walker and his conservative agenda began building almost as soon as he took office in January 2011. Just a month into his term, Walker took the state by surprise with a proposal to effectively end collective bargaining rights for most state workers. The recall idea emerged soon thereafter.
Walker, the 44-year-old son of a minister, has remained unflappable throughout the campaign just as he was during the massive protests that raged at the Statehouse for weeks as lawmakers debated his proposal.
Along the way, he's become a star among Republicans and the most successful fundraiser in Wisconsin politics, collecting at least $31 million from around the country since taking office. That obliterated his fundraising record of $11 million from 2010.
About $63 million has been spent on the race so far, including $16 million from conservative groups such as the Republican Governors Association, Americans for Prosperity and the National Rifle Association.
The majority of Walker's donations have come from people outside Wisconsin. Most of Barrett's $4.2 million came from inside the state.
Retired businessman Dave Flury plans to support Walker. And he's worried about what will happen if Barrett wins.
"If Walker loses, shouldn't Republicans turn right around and recall Barrett?" Flury asked.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett Wins Democratic Nod to Face Walker
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett won the Democratic primary in Wisconsin on Tuesday, the Associated Press reported. This means Barrett will go head-to-head with embattled Republican Gov. Scott Walker in the rare recall election on June 5.
A Marquette Law School poll released at the beginning of May showed Barrett and Walker in a statistical dead heat.
If Walker loses the election, he will be the third governor in U.S. history to be recalled from office. He is the first governor in Wisconsin's history to face a recall election, which was initiated after the governor moved to curtail the rights of some unionized state workers.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's fan list reads like a who's who of some of the richest people in America — financial gurus, a Las Vegas casino president, even an NBA team owner.
His biggest donor was Diane M. Hendricks, founder of Beloit-based American Builders and Contractors Supply Co. Inc. Forbes estimates she's worth $2.8 billion. She gave the governor $500,000. She did not immediately return messages left through her company spokeswoman.
The next two biggest donors were Sheldon Adelson, chief executive officer of the Las Vegas Sands casino, and Richard DeVos, owner of the Orlando Magic basketball team and co-founder of the Amway Corp., a direct-sales company now under the Alticor company umbrella. Both gave Walker $250,000. Attempts to reach them Monday evening were unsuccessful.
Five people each gave Walker $100,000, including John W. Childs, chief executive officer of Boston equity firm J.W. Childs Associates; Warren A. Stephens, chief executive officer of Stephens Inc., a financial management company based in Little Rock, Ark.; Robert Kern, founder of Waukesha, Wis.-based generator manufacturer Generac, and his wife, Patricia Kern; and Patrick G. Ryan, founder of the Ryan Specialty Group, a Chicago brokerage firm.
Wisconsin law permits recall targets to collect unlimited donations from the day the first group registers with the state against them until the state Government Accountability Board schedules the elections. In Walker's case, the first recall committee registered Nov. 4, and the board set the elections on March 30, allowing the governor to raise unprecedented amounts of money for five months.
He's spent the time crisscrossing the country, hob-knobbing with the wealthy and the famous.
He attended a Christmas party thrown by conservative power broker Grover Norquist and raised money with Hank Greenberg, founder and former CEO of American International Group, at his Manhattan office.
He was in Oklahoma last month, mingling with the corporate elite and top Republicans at a fundraiser co-sponsored by Koch Industries, the oil company led by billionaire brothers who are top backers of conservative causes nationwide.
The connections he's built have paid off — none of his challengers' ledgers is even in the same galaxy.
Monday's filings show Walker's opponent in the Republican primary, college-aged political protester Arthur Kohl-Riggs, raised just $2,045 and spent about $480 between Jan. 1 and April 23. He had $1,565 in the bank.
The two Democratic front-runners, Kathleen Falk and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, are light-years behind him as well.
Falk's report showed she raised $977,059 and spent $884,859 between Jan. 1 and April 23. She had $118,062 on hand. Barrett, who didn't enter the race until March 30, raised $831,508 and spent $808,975. He had $475,496 on hand.
Falk and Barrett's campaigns both issued similar statements blasting Walker for traveling around the country rather than focusing on job creation in Wisconsin.
State Democratic Party spokesman Graeme Zielinski issued a statement calling Walker's totals "breathtaking."
"It is true we will be badly outspent. It is also true that, at the end of the day, and until Walker makes it otherwise, money does not vote," Zielinski said.
"The people vote. And it is the people of Wisconsin who will win victory over Scott Walker on June 5th."

That is 9,000 a day. Quite a tall order.
Only way I could see them making that would be if they held drives at large venues such as LamBeau Field and whatever other large venues there are in Wisconsin.
Hope they pull it off but would not be surprised if they fall short.
It's a small state and that is a lot to expect.
But I will post info here, hopefully every little bit helps.

Recall organizers need to average 9,000 signatures a day to get the 540,000 needed to force a recall election of the Republican governor. They want to go well above that number, however, in case some signatures are invalidated.

Thousands rally against Wisconsin Republican governor
Madison - Thousands of people gathered at the Wisconsin capitol on Saturday to demand a recall of Republican Governor Scott Walker, whose controversial and successful drive to limit public unions last winter sparked the biggest protests in the state since the Vietnam War.
The Wisconsin Department of Administration estimated that between 25,000 and 30,000 people gathered at an afternoon rally at the Capitol building to boost the state-wide petition drive for a Walker recall election that began on November 15.

Sonja O'Brien heard from the hecklers as she collected signatures in a final push to recall Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
One man yelled at her for forcing the state to spend millions on a recall election. A woman told her she was annoying. And Jack Bublitz, a 75-year-old retired banker, said Democrats would never collect enough names.
"You're not going to do it! You're not going to do it!" Bublitz yelled at her.
But O'Brien figured these naysayers were relatively civil compared to most days over the past two months in what has become a knock-down, drag-out brawl to oust Walker from office.
Now the fight is about to move from the streets to the courtroom.
Democrats want to wind up the signature drive this weekend and get the names to state election officials by Tuesday's deadline.
GOP legal challenges are almost certain to follow.

Four Wisconsin lawmakers targeted for possible recall later this year filed challenges on Thursday to the validity of thousands of signatures gathered to force the special elections, the state's Government Accountability Board said.
In a statement, Fitzgerald cited "a wide range of irregularities, errors and outright falsehoods" in the petitions submitted to force him to defend his seat. He said he planned to challenge 4,300 of the signatures, which could be enough to derail the effort to unseat him.
If the board verifies enough signatures against any of the four senators targeted in this second wave of recalls, it will call a special election that could alter the balance of power in the state Senate, where Republicans hold a 17-16 majority.
Recall petitioners now have five days to rebut the challenges, after which the officeholders will have two days to reply, according to state law.
The Government Accountability Board then has until March 19 to verify the recalls. Until then, the board will review the challenges and continue to review petitions.
Since recall organizers submitted what they said were about 1.9 million total signatures, supporters of the six targeted Republicans have asked volunteers to help comb through the thousands of petition forms posted online. __________________

On Friday, the Government Accountability Board of Wisconsin is expected to certify the 1 million petitions turned in in January to recall Republican Gov. Scott Walker.
A special election is tentatively scheduled for June 5, with a Democratic primary to take place four weeks earlier, on May 8.
"We're feeling great," Wisconsin Democratic Party chair Mike Tate said.
"I think the people of Wisconsin are ready to fire Scott Walker and hire a new governor."
"We at the Republican Party of Wisconsin, we feel extremely confident that Governor Walker will win this recall fight" said GOP spokesman Ben Sparks.
Though the two parties are at odds over most things, there's one thing they do agree on: Turnout will be very high.
