They rejected mine too. I called them today and they approved it for me after I read off the UPC number.

Who was the rebate through (retailer and rebate center)?

Why was the rebate initially rejected?

Was the rebate validated for the full amount, or a portion of the full amount (eg. $15 instead of $20)?

HELP: How to fight for Dell's rebates from www.rebatestatus.com?
I have a lot of trouble with dell's rebates from rebatestatus. I am still waiting for two $200 rebates I submitted 4 months ago after I made several calls and faxes. Rebatestatus is used to considering severel rebates (limitation is five) as only one rebate. I called them and I was asked to fax the paperwork. After a couple of weeks, when I called again to check the status, I was asked to fax again.
What they can do is to ask you: wait, fax, call back until rebates expires.
What else I can do to get my rebates back? I have filed a complaint to FTC, I do not know whether this will help.
Please share your experience and advice.

Why was the rebate initially rejected? The 256S133 UPC we received with your rebate submission is not correct.

Was the rebate validated for the full amount, or a portion of the full amount (eg. $15 instead of $20)?It initially showed up as the correct amount of $20 and stayed $20 even after they approved it.

 
Got $10 from staples for the Logitech mouse sent 9/3
Also the $50 for the 19" monitor sent also at 9/3.

Does anyone have the khypermedia $6 rebate from office max. It was with the cendyne burner deal. It is a $6 rebate from office max when purchased between 9-7 and 9-14. I also missed the 7 day postmark date for the $8 khypermedia rebate? That means I only had three days from the time I received the cd's until the postmark date had passed? I think that is bs? Has anyone else had any problems with that?

Sweet. Both $30 rebates for the Maxtor 40gb 7200 Hard Drive from Staples are processing. This was the little known deal that ran the week after the OD deal that everyone got in on. The rebate situation was the same. They looked like the same rebates but had two different addresses. Total cost after rebates and coupon: $10.

Both show up simultaneously on www.rebateshq.com

The drive was purchased online, validating the Staples.com only. I included a note to the FL one stating that the original UPC was needed for another rebate. Sent the original to TX. They were sent out the same day, but TX was received four days later. Forwarded to the same address?

I find it ironic that both show up together on rebateshq. Hehe.
 
Has anyone gotten confirmation (or at least processing) for the $30 Upgraders rebate for Peachtree Accounting?
the rebate went to Rebateshq.com, and they've already approved and mailed me my check for $165 from staples, but there is no sign of the $30 upgrade rebate yet... it was mailed out at the same time and says allow 6-8 weeks...

Yes, I received confirmation on the $30 Peachtree upgrade (rebateshq.com). It shows as received on 9/19/02 and valid in final stages of processing.

I did not send it in until I saw the $165 Staples Peachtree rebate posted as valid and in final stages of processing (I received that one around a week ago).

they must have processed that rebate in a large bat ch cuz I just got my confirmation (and approval!) last night...
That means I got a total of $195 back for the $165 package, plus I used a 40 off 200 coupon instore to get a bunch of school supplies free!

Today I get mail from Efficient Netwrokd Resubmissions, Dept 02-48930 in Coppell Tx saying

WTF?? I got the rebate form and everthing from their store. They had it advertised in the weekly circular.

I checked at www.rebateshq.com and the status was

I just got a postcard for the Maxtor 80gb deal at staples.com denying one of the $30 rebates? Has anyone gotten around this? Both rebates said they required the original UPC, but I thought they said it was ok to send a copy? The one that was rejected was going to dept 02-49446

Finally got my $30 rebate for a Nvidia GForce 3 purchased at Fry's on Feb. 22, 2002.

Wheresmyrebate.com site had my rebate approved but never sent it, telling me on the long distance phone calls to check back next month or in 2 weeks. A kind AT member gave me their 800 number (so now I could ding them a buck or so every time I called) but they then prompted me to call long distance to 'Direct Source' who was now handling the rebate. Direct Source's answering machine asking for my mailing address et al was not reassuring but the prompt emails from them was reassuring. Check showed up today, Sep. 28 about 2 weeks after I called them. (A tad slow but fast compared to wheresmyrebate.) Now, hopefully the check clears.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I had recently filed an online complaint with the FTC. I don't know if it helped or not but at least gave me an avenue to vent and make an official complaint.
 
I too got rejected on a memory rebate. This one was a 64Mb $20 rebate from CompUSA. Will call monday.

 
RE: OD $30 rebate on Maxtor 40GB 7200 RPM

I haven't seen anything in this thread reference this rebate. I got a card today from www.rebateshq.com stating "You have already submitted the maximum number of rebate claims per household, OR the information that should have been unique to your claim (i.e. Serial Number, Transaction Number, etc) matches the unique information from another claim.

I bought this online from the OD website & sent this form to McAllen, TX and the OD form to Walled Lake, MI. The OD rebate shows as valid.

Anyone else have this problem or any problems with this rebate?
 
I finally got my TCA rebate today! I purchased the Hercules soundcard on April 1, 2002. Sent my stuff in promtly. I was suppose to get my rebate in June. TCA kept saying, "The manufacturer has extended the rebate.....blah, blah". I couldn't get anywhere with those jerks. Over the last two months I have emailed Hercules/Gullimot about a dozen times and my emails went unanswered. I then emailed them a short email-about 10 words, 8 of which where swear words. They finally got back to me. I will never do a rebate through these people again. I also filed a complaint with the FTC. Feel free to swap La Kecia with emails, I'm sure they'll go unasnwered, I asked her to respond to my email letting me know the check was coming, but typical of TCA, she didn't. Fvcking witch.

Staples.com PHONE ORDERS REBATES getting rejected due to rebate periods..
where rebate workers are assuming the SHIP DATE an declaring the rebate request INVALID
because STAPLES doesnt see fit in include that ORDER DATE info on the paperwork.

this info isnt a problem on web orders and is included in the delivery notes section.


ARE THEY NOT REQUIRED BY LAW TO INCLUDE ACCURATE ORDER DATE INFO SINCE IT IS CRITICAL TO THE REBATE SUBMISSION?
including only a SHIP DATE seems DECEPTIVE!!

Same here, just received my $10 rebate yesterday. My experience was exactly like yours- it sucked.
