got my 4150 rebate today.... it was suppose to be $350 and the check was made out for $300. it was also made out payable to my company instead of me. so here we go again 🙁

anyone else have any problems with the #34717 rebate back in late 08/2002?
 
Received Officemax belkin 10$ surge protector rebate. Mailed it on 6/24. Received it yesterday. It took almost 4 and half months for the turn around from Mesa, AZ.

Just got a postcard saying that the UPC I sent in for Staples/Maxtor 40GB Hard Drive was not valid. Bulls#it. Looks like I get to waste more of my time to get my check.

Just received this $5 PNY rebate today from RebatesHQ/Parago. This was for the PNY 256MB DDR deal at CC for 7/14-7/20 where they only paid $15 instead of $20. I had to go to CC in August to get the $5 they owed me.

I was wondering if the rebate companies actually lookup the purchase date in a store database, or do they only look at the actual rebate slip provided by the customer?

If you bought the item within the rebate timeframe, and send the rebate in before the deadline,
you shouldn't have to worry if they check the date or not.
 
Looking for some information on a rebate that was offered at Bed Bath and Beyond on a 3 Piece Table-Tops Unlimited frying pan set. I think it's called "Invitations". Was supposed to be a $10 rebate. Sent in on 7/18 and haven't heard back. All the contact information I have (and searched the web and couldn't find more) is the address listed on the rebate slip. It was:

Looking for Logitech 310 rebate from Amazon.com that shows expiration date 12/31. I received a "not within required dates" postcard for this. This is from a deal around 9/1/02 involving the 310 webcam and a Linksys router. Please email or PM.

Anyone here buy the $15 spindle of 50 CD'rs (HiTech I think) from Staples last year on the day after Thanksgiving?

I remember that NO ONE got their rebates, and that most people were able to call or email Staples rebates center and have them process a "one time exception" since the mfg played games on the original one (the original one wasn't sent to staples/rebates HQ, but they agreed to honor it)

Anyway, long story short, 3 phone calls and 3 emails, Staples (Rebates HQ) claims no knowledge of this ability to honor the blanket ignored original rebate.

What have others done to get their $15 back? I dont have a local store (bought it 200 miles away when I was there for Thanksgiving). I want my $15.



On another topic, I see that others are having Cendyne rebate problems. I purchased one in Dec 2000 from Amazon and sent in the form to the AZ rebate center. Got a rejection saying I didnt include the serial #. Of course I CUT OUT THE DANG S/N as well as UPC stickers and stapled both the the form. They also wanted me to write it again on the form. I resubmitted copies of everything stating that the S/N cut out was included, showed copy of that fact, and took a picture of the back of the drive as well and submitted that to the "correcitons" address... Guess what? NOTHING. Yeah, it's been 2 years and my $30 rebate is gone, but if Cendyne is continuing to do this then there is a scam with them.

Staples 80GB HDD deal was approved for one rebate and denied for the other because of the UPC copy. Sent an email yesterday to Parago and received a thumbs up reply this afternoon:

May be you can write to the staples headquarter directly as a the final resolution. Hope it help. (or call 800-338-0252 (Office of Staples President))
As for the Cendyne rebate,... call again to the AZ rebate center.... say you will fill a complain to BBB and FTC, may help. (or do this before you call the AZ rebate center)
 
Finally got this over 6 1/2 months after sending to Edison, NJ

($10 rebate for mouse sold for $19.99 at Circuit City that was free after 2 rebates.
The Circuit City part came in months ago.)
The rebate form said to allow 10 weeks for processing - ha!

request sent: 04-23-02 (by rebate deadline)
check dated: 10-16-02 (marked 'invalid after 30 days')
check postmarked: 11-08-02
check received: 11-12-02 3 days before check is invalid

This came in a Micro Innovations envelope, so if you get one open it ASAP, don't wait until the weekend.

yup, same problem here..it was a $25 rebate for me (bought the 100pk a few weeks before thanksgiving); i faxed my info to staples and it showed up on rebateshq.com (must be 8 months ago), but it showed up as a $15 rebate. I called staplesrebates/rebateshq and they said to resend paperwork (again), but they never changed it. To boot, they never sent me the $15 rebate.

I don't know how many of you got in on it, but HP has a $50 rebate on the PSC750 all in one printer if you buy any system with a pc and a monitor. I purchased a Dell like anybody else, and during the Officemax Friends and Family deal they had this unit for $99. Well, I sent in the rebate about 3 weeks ago, and today I received a notice that the $50 was shipped out yesterday. Awesome turnaround time!! And you can't beat this unit for $50......🙂
