:Q Finally! My VisionTek GF3 Ti200 rebate arrived yesterday. Let's see...thats about six months. I love the card, I still like Best Buy, but if I have to deal with the New Rochelle chaos center again-well, fuhgetaboutit.
 
Update, I also received my $50 visiontek rebate. I thought the day will never come. Also received my $40 Maxtor 80GB HD rebate from Staples.

I thought 5 weeks for a staples rebate was good but this only took 15 days 😀

Just got a rejection postcard from Parago on the $20 rebate for a SanDisk 128MB CF card, purchased 5/20 at Staples. "The UPC barcode submitted is no eligible for this promotion."

I'm sitting here looking at my backup copy of the submission as well as the unopened blister pack with the UPC code cut out, and it all looks kosher to me...
 
Got a real fast Staples rebate - $40 for the Maxtor 80 Gb/7200 rpm drive from the great 6/5/02 deal. Less than a month ! Excellent.

The UPC barcode submitted is not eligible for this promotion?

And to think I stopped making copies of everything like a month ago...guess this will be an expensive lesson..
My Roxio rebate on CD creator through BB was also denied this month for not being purchased within the promotion period?

I've definetley learned my lesson...
 
As far as I can recall, I have always gotten every rebate I've ever applied for. I always tape all the stuff (UPC, coupon, etc.) to a sheet of paper on which the register tape was copied and then make a copy of that for my records and never send originals unless I have no choice.
The slowest was for some Fuji CD-Rs.
Latest was a $10. rebate on 50 Imation CD-Rs: Sent on 5-11-02 and got an e-mail around 6-28-02 saying "check is in the mail". About 6 wks. This is the first time I've used www.easierrebate.com and it seems to have worked OK.

Unlike the Staples/Parago Audiovox Maestro fiasco (just filed a complaint with the FTC on that one), I received the Maxtor 80GB 7200RPM HD rebate in record time.

Submitted online application on 6/10/02 - mailed out same day
Received rebate check on 7/01/02

3 week turn around. I guess you win some, you lose some with Staples.

woohoo!! just got my $50 rebate!! this was the visiontek Ti200 through CompUSA... paperwork was sent in on March 18 and just got the check today July 2 through Wheresmyrebate.com Better late than never!

Did you order your cf card online? I remember people saying they rec'd cards with a different model # than the one listed on the rebate form. Supposedly Staples knew this and said rebates would be honored.

I sent my rebate for the same item in on 6-15 and yesterday it showed the check was already sent out.

Got off the the phone earlier today with "wheresmyrebate" , at least 6 of my rebates totalling over $200 was quote "returned by post office due to incorrect address". This after giving my address to them to verify the promo. They say that they would send them out again today, I will wait and see! Also 2 more were to be sent out 6/24/02. One for $100 and one for $50, they said that "the manufacture of the products" told them to send them out after 7/21/02. What is going on with with these companies? I do keep copies of everything so if I keep getting this runaround the NYS Attorney Genernals Office is going to be notified. Yes, most of these are from Compusa.
 
did anyone get in on the Outpost.com deal for the seagate barracuda IV 80 gig hard drive in december/januaryish time frame?
i still havent recieved my rebate (they are sending a 20 dollar one but i belive it was for 50 but its been so long i lost my damn reciept and rebate slip, anyone help me out? PM please!

TCA = BIG WEASELS

What a bunch of crooks. I am having the same kind of problem with TCA pushing back the check mailing date. I just called them today on a $10 rebate for a Guillemot Sound card I bought from BB back in April. They said the vendor pushed the check date out another month. Did I say they are a bunch of weasels?

 
What should I put in the Serial Number spot on the CompUSA Philips 50pk rebate form?

Something going own with these company's processing rebates and showing all kinds off lame excuses for not following through. Are they in financial trouble, stealing, lieing, fixing to cut and run?
