Has anyone gotten anything regarding the Toshiba Maestro rebate thru Staples? I got the e-mail saying they received my stuff, and their website says it was processed on 5/18, and the check would be mailed within 30 days. Well, it's been almost 60 days and still no check. I've never dealt with Staples rebates before this, so I don't know if this is unusual or not.

She said she put in a rush but the rebate wouldn't come through for another 30 days. I'm getting increasingly disappointed with the staples' rebate lately. So give them a call (877-266-6483) and complain.

I sent out a Fry's $50 rebate in March for the same drive and still haven't received it yet. I forgot to write down the date I sent it and I didn't get delivery confirmation on the form either.
I'm going to call 866-487-7646 (the number listed on the rebate form) to find out what's going on.
Edit: I just called and was told that I would receive a check by the end of the month.
I am still waiting for the $15 from Pacific Digital 16x12x40 from Office Depot.
I did get the Office Depot refund quickly, but the Pacific Digital specific one just got extended to Aug 8th.
At least they told me twice that I am approved.

well I did get my apex 3201 CUSA rebate back...est mail date 6-23....and on 7-10 i called the CUSA HQ about the rebate...and hey look it gets mailed out the next day....with that in mind, this will prolly be the last CUSA rebate I do unless its scintillatingly hot...
I hope this isn't too irrelevant:
1) Has anyone successfully installed and use Rebate! Rebate! on WinXP? I just d/led version 2.0 and it's no longer being updated...and it supports Win9x and NT - but I'm not sure about XP. Also, I backed up the data file which stores all my rebate info when I was using it on Win98, can that same data file be loaded on XP even though it was saved in Win98?
2) Are there any other good rebate programs like Rebate! Rebate! that can be used under XP?

I got the same BS. My rebate status had been unchanged since 4/29, but now my check has been printed on an "urgent" basis. My Audiovox Maestro rebate history:
6/17 - Called and was told that a "special request" would be put in to mail the check, and that I should expect to receive it within 30 days...that made me feel real special.
6/24 - Called and was told that a "request would be put in again"...very reassuring.
7/1 - Spoke to a supervisor who assured me a) it would be expedited and b) that a check would definitely be issued within 2 weeks...I wasn't holding my breath.
7/15 - Spoke to a different supervisor who told me that the expedite request was "rejected" but he was not able to provide a reason. On all previous occasions, I was polite as usual, and I started that way on this call. But at this point, I went into nasty mode and told him that a) my rebate form is an agreement that MY money will be returned to me in 8 weeks, b) that if he didn't tell me that a check would be issued within 2 days, then I would be complaining to corporate AND the attorney general's office as soon as I get off the phone with him. By the end of the call, I said I'll give it 2 more days before starting to file complaints...that seemed to get their attention because...
7/18 - I just got off the phone with the same supervisor I spoke to on 7/15 and was told that my check was printed on 7/16 on an "urgent" basis, and that I would receive it within a week from 7/16.
Squeaky wheel gets the grease I'm just about done with deals and rebates, but if there is a next time, I won't be so patient with Parago. They have been ten times worse for me this year than TCA (and TCA has been just fine, for me).

Yesterday I rec'd 2 $20 rebate checks for the Motorola Talkabout 289's that were clearanced out at Staples for 9.90 ea. I sent my rebate in on 5-6-02. Nothing like getting paid to buy something
btw...I know some of you have mentioned that you submitted multiple rebates on these and the status shows only 1 or 2. My status only showed 1 check for $20 but I did receive 2 checks for $20ea.

TCA is still holding my $50 Radeon rebate, BB promotion during March. Called them this morning, they said the check will be mailed on August.
I received the "rejected...not purchased within required dates" postcard for 3 staples rebates (Cen-Dyne 32X CD-RW, and 2 netgear products). Turns out that, even though I ordered on the 25th of May, the last day of the rebate offer, my order wasn't processed by staples until the next day, and all of their documentation listed the 26th as my order date. Luckily, the online order status correctly listed May 25. All I needed to do was e-mail a screen capture of my online order submission to Parago, and I received an e-mail the next day stating that my rebates are approved.

Finally got the Audiovox Maestro $50.00 rebate from Staples. Another lousy experience courtesy of Parago, but at least it came. Check was printed on an "urgent" basis on 7/16 and received 3 days later across the country on 7/19/02, by "metered" mail...gee, I guess that means it really doesn't take 15 days to get a check from point A to point B, as they would like us to believe.

Well, it's been over 4 months now since I sent in my rebate for my Radeon 8500 at Best Buy. Wheresmyrebate said my check would be mailed out on June 9th, I emailed them at the begining of July with no response. July 11th I called them and they said my rebate would be shipped out that day (the 11th). Today I called them (the 19th) and they said ATI had issued a delay and I need to talk to then. I called Best Buy to see what they would say and they got someone from ATI on the phone with me and she said that they had no clue when the rebate would be sent out.

has told me that others were having problems with their checks as

I do not know if this is a Your Mileage May Vary situation, but the Circuit City rebates I have say "Rebate is valid for customer name on sales receipt only" and Office Max ones say "Rebate rights cannot be transferred". Check the rebate form to see if there is a similar phrase. You can always call the phone number on the rebate form and ask.
