does anyone have a copy of the REBATE FORM for the HI-TECH 100 CDR $25 rebate from Staples in early november?
mine did not scan well because it was a faded xerox copy to begin with.

Anyone that bought the Polaroid camera from Circuit City around 12-17-01, I just got my $10 rebate. Didn't know if they would pay since after all this company has filed for bankruptcy!
 
I just called a csr about my $200 winxp/staples rebate and someone else had cashed my check. It could have been stolen anywhere along the mail route, since it is just a postcard check. I am trying to get a copy of the cancelled check from Staples rebate center so I can get someone charged with theft. Anyone else have this problem ?

 
I hate those postcard checks. They just scream "Steal me!"

I recently recieved the $100 rebate from Staples for the Black Friday Envision 17" monitor and the use of a postcard "check" really bothered me.

What happens when your rebate is stolen? Will Staples mail you a replacement check?

Just got my $ 30 OD Maxtor 20GB rebate today. Never had to wait this long before. Bought it Oct 24.
Definetly my last OD rebate deal.
 
Ugh. That's what I feared. I'll have to try to use the amounts to connect the dots.

I wonder sometimes if they purposely leave this information off the checks. That way people are less sure if they received a particular rebate and are less likely to follow-up on a missing one. Nah, that's crazy talk. 😉

I believe it. I've received rebates from several different rebate centers lately and this tactic is becoming more common. It's like some @sshole with these rebate companies is always thinking of ways to screw customers out of their rebates.

I finally had to go to the BB across town to resolve the $5 D-Link NIC rebate from Nov. The MOD was very nice about it and they credited the $5 back to my CC.

 
I and my older brother bought 2 GF3s from BestBuy during that Thanksgiving sale. He lives in a different state, and I used my mother's name rather than my own (she kept her maiden name) to further avoid potential problems. We even paid with cash at different registers. Yet, at wheresmyrebate.com , it says that the same receipt was used by more than one customer! That's simply not true, considering we bought at different times, with cash, and my receipt also had the 60gig hd on it, (his didn't). His rebate is already approved and he should be getting it in a week. And regardless, the rebates -are- from 2 different households. He's already married and living elsewhere, I don't see how I could not quality. Whenever I called them, they said "oh, yeah I don't know why it was held up, we'll get it out as soon as possible" and then it ends up the same way. Ideas? :disgust:
 
Finally got *something* from Parago...first PAID rebates from there this year. $14.99 and $10.00 rebates for the Best Buy Black Friday PNY 150 CDs.

I also got a $20.00 check with "PNY" on it...only I don't have any outstanding PNY rebates. I was already paid for the $20.00 PNY memory rebate several weeks ago. This is the 2nd time this has happened; Parago did the same thing when they sent an extra $200.00 check for the Staples/Windows XP promo. I hate when that happens :Q

Still have 3 overdue Parago rebates + 1 WAY OVERDUE (5 weeks +) Staples/Parago rebate. I wonder if the $20.00 is a gift to tide me over till those other rebates come :Q
 
OK, I just figured out what items were associated with the two mystery PNY rebates I just received:

1) $20 for the PNY PC133 128 meg SDRAM memory
(Black Friday free after rebate deal, Mailed 12/1/01)

2) $10 for another PNY PC133 128 meg SDRAM memory
($4.94 after rebate and $10 off $20 coupon, mailed 12/31/01)

BTW, both of these sticks are working great in the K7S5A based PC that I just built.

I am looking at my copies and my upc says 256S133/NAV-OD



What kind of BS are they trying to pull... The SKU on the recipt clearly matches the SKU on the rebate form.. They must be stalling...

That isn't really true. If you can track the rebate on their web site (a big IF since if you have too many in the system it doesn't find any, which is why submitting online is nice since you get the tracking #) then the check # will be in the rebate info. It's not pretty, but it works.

Actually the 8 digit # may be on the check somewhere, I recall it's in very small type, so you could possibly use that to go to the web site and check.

PS my $20 check arrived today 🙂.

How does the staples online submitting work? You fill out the request and then mail the materials in?

my OD rebate was not even showing up on website 2 weeks ago, for the maxtor 20 gig deal, still not showing up today, thats 8 weeks since its been mailed, wonder if i should call.
