The UPS man just delivered my free portable CD player from the Office Max Cendyne 40x CDRW deal way back in October (or Sept.?). It came from Young America and it is pretty nice. 10 sec anti-skip and it comes with 2 tiny speakers, an AC converter and real headphones (not buds). I had given up on this...it was a pleasant surprise.

for those of you who didn't believe the DRU500A rebate would come through.. it seems to have.

That's the easy part. Their definition of "30 days" is apparently different from mine. Been waiting over 6 weeks now...

received my rebate checks from the staples maxtor 80gb 8mb 7200rpm + 50-pack optimum 48x cd-r deal...
$30 for the hd and $10 for the cd-rs... didn't take that long either! woohoo!

about those optimum cdr's...since it seems like they've had rebates forever....it says limit one per household/address; but on staples there are now two rebate forms, w/ 2 different time periods. are these now 2 separate offers and can i get some more now and still get both rebates?

If the promotion # is different than one you previously partook of, you can get the rebate again if you buy them again. This holds true for all rebates.

You cannot buy them now though, and then submit for the rebate number where you had to buy them sometime in january, since obviously the purchase date would not quality. You can get only the latest offer number..

Here is the deal... I bought my ITEM XXX on 1/16/2003 well with in the rebate deadline... BESTBUY didn't ship it until 1/27/2003 Got the unit on 1/31/2003 I opened it up. Did a test for a couple of days. No problems found. So I did exactly what the rebate told me to do! Send the rebate in with in 10 days after buying unit. Well as you know I couldn't get the barcode off the box in 10 days because the unit didn't even arive at my house until 15 days later!!! So, how do I go about getting my rebate????

That is the message I sent to best buy... I guess it really didn't hit me until I got the postcard stating product was not purchased with in the required dates... blah..blah...blah...

Anyway, I still have time to get a REFUND... TAKE it back. But will they take it back with the barcode cut out of the box and a rebate denial post card?

I think I'm screwed out of 50 bucks. Hopefully best buy will understand and give me a gift card or somthing. But, I am betting this is one of those "LESONS LEARNED"...

i am so friggin furious right now - i send in my rebate for $50 for turbotax and quicken... 9 weeks ago i receive $29.95 not the $50 i should have. I call up and am told that I should send back the check and they will reissue me one for $50 asap. I wait and wiat... today I RECEIVE ANOTHER $29.95 CHECK!!!!!!!!!!


AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH im so mad right now

I purchased a Sony CRX215A1 from Office Depot on 12/30/02 and I'm almost positive there was a rebate that expired on 12-31-02 and then another rebate started the next day on the first... Anyway they are denying my rebate saying I didn't purchase within the aloted time period and I can't find that rebate for the CRX215A1 that expired on 12/31 anywhere, does anyone have this they can e-mail me? PM me please, if there was a valid rebate i gotta make sure they pay up...

Just found this out a couple of weeks ago. Looked to see if it was posted elsewhere, and found nothing, so here goes...I sent in Black Friday rebates for both MS mouse and keyboard ($14.99 each). The ad said nothing about only one can be submitted, but the deal was the same one, and looked like one or the other. But, after talking with csr, he said that they are now honoring both. Just call BB rebate number and talk to csr, if one of your 2 MS black friday rebates weren't fulfilled.

Rebateshq obviously messed up the promo code (sent me a "denied" postcard w/ incorrect manufacturer), and while I can find my copies of receipt & UPC I can't find the rebate form. I don't want them to deny me just because I no longer have the rebate promo. code.

I purchased a stick of PNY DDR memory at Circuit City on 12/18/02. There were two rebates, one from Circuit City and another from PNY. Here's the thread that mentioned this deal.

finally got my Hi-Val CD-R rebate from I/O Magic. 3 or 4 months! I had to call officemax and complain of fraud and bad business practices and that I was not happy officemax was doing business with people like these. So officemax took my claim, sent it to I/O Magic and I got my check in two months! Amazing what a little whining will do!

PS. This rebate was on rebateservices.com. Most crooked rebate service ever. I sent 5 eMails over a 2 month period and never got a single damn response. Needless to say I will never purchase an I/O Magic nor Hi-Val product b/c of rebates again.

PPS. On another note I still have a K-byte rebate from 22 weeks ago that I still haven't gotten but trust me I will. I call and annoy them on a weekly basis. It's only $15 but it's the principle of the matter.
