Rebate on Guinness $4 for 6er $7 for 12 pack

Indeed. Here in Illinois (Forest Park and Lombard to be specific) Famous Wine & Spirits has a sale on Guinness and Harp. (Yea black and tan!)

Sale Price is $10.49, but if you buy 2 - 12 packs it's $8.99 per 12 pack. With this rebate it comes out to $5.49 per 12 pack!!!

They Emailed this to me today. 🙂 I already have it filled out and ready to send as soon as I get my UPC and receipt. 🙂

Problem with Harps - it now comes out of Canada (at least the sewer crap we get in TX) and.. well, my comment speaks for itself.

Fine print says

"An official certificate must accompany your request. Photocopies or other mechanical reproductions will not be accepted."

That seems to mean that printing it out and sending it in won't work, right? 🙁

For those with a Costco nearby....
15 pack of 14.9oz cans is about $14 or $15..... standard price.

Also, for those wanting to try something different....taken from the Ben&Jerry's Homemade Icecream book.....

Beer Sorbet
18oz of FLAT dark beer (use a whisk & stir to flatten it)
5 tablespoons sugar

pour mixture into your ice cream making machine......after about 20 or so minutes, you'll have Beer Sorbet.

I've done it a few times with Guiness.... very chochlately...... Beck's Dark is rumored to be good also.

Enjoy!

You guys who like Guinness should try some Barley Wine Style Ales. You'll never go back.

i don't know about that.....you are talking about two extremely different styles.....the guiness a low alcohol roasty brew as opposed to the barley wine a really high alcohol hoppy brew.....i like both syles, but i wouldn't say i'd never go back to stout after having barley wine......depends on what you are in the mood for.

only good for Guiness Draught in a bottle and the top of the online form says" print form "so I think the official cert is the printed form just dont send a photo copy......

Thanks for the rebate link.

Harp sold here in Florida is also brewed in Canada. It's OK.
The Guinness sold in bottles is terrible. Just awful. Tastes nothing like real Guinness.
The 16oz cans w/ the widgit in them are good tho.

Argh, just read the fine print - not valid in TX!!!!! Dammit!

Say man, I love Guiness, but hate that bottled stuff. I just printed this out. I'm going to send it in anyway. I'm just going to abbreviate Tx....Tn and use my zip code. That's how the P.O. sends mail right? By zipcode. If it doesn't work, I've lost 37 cents. I bet it works. P.S. A can stomach the bottle by tipping it into a glass about 7 times. i.e. instead of pouring it, i put a little in at a time to activate the widget. It's close to draught after that.

What the heck are you talking about? I can't visualize what you are saying at all. I agree though Guiness is far superior from a fresh keg. I was able to try some Guiness in London, but they had this weird "ice-cold" tap thing so it was freezing when I got it. Kind of disappointing really.
