MercenaryForHire - as himself
Queen Latifah - Soul Food diner waitress
Marlon Brando - Italian Pasta Maestro

Join the struggle of a young student in his daily quest to get people to stop trying to force-feed him. Born with a high metabolism and lean frame, M4H is constantly belittled and harangued by local Soul Food waitresses and spaghetti-slinging folk around his neighbourhood to pack on some pounds. What they don't understand is that it's an impossible task ... and every offer of seconds is a plateful of fuel for the inner fire that rages within.

:DLucky bastard. I know many people like you. One of my good friends eats everything in sight but still weighs 125.

Hmmm...do we know each other? My friend once told me that I eat like a horse and I weigh ~125. Of course my less-than-perfect health keeps my weight in check, but that's an entirely different thread.

There is a difference between flaunting your bodystyle and between being comfortable with it. Apparently, all of the men posting in this thread are guys who when they go to the beach, rip off their tshirt to reveal a chisled set of abs and thin waistline, and thus NEVER expose their unperfect bodies to the rest of the world, let alone make a statement about it.
With that said, I personally find America Ferrara attractive (only seen those 2 pictures).
I think many of the people who posted should really consider what makes someone attractive and what makes someone repulsory. Some of the comments made are truly shocking to me, as in other places besides America, looks aren't everything.
Grow up.

Really? I thought we were discussing the cow body.

How is what we are saying ignorant?!
I know there is a difference, but my whole point is, she isn't just comfortable with it, she flaunts it too. Right, whatever you say, somehow we gave you the idea that we have the perfect male physique. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather see a girl who is overweight wear a short skirt and a top with no middle, so her fat rolls can bulge out? Or an overweight girl who dresses sensibly?
To all of you who consider her attractive, on my *superficial* scale of 1-10, what would you give her?
I am not saying that looks are the only thing that make someone attractive, but to think that its OK to be fat, is wrong.
You need to grow up and stop assuming that I am completely superficial.

This might come as a shock to you but most people dress to please themselves and the people in their lives. You don't like the view? cool, you don't have to look but that doesn't take away from another person's right to feel good about themselves and to dress in the manner that pleases them. Btw,I see a very large number of heavy women around here and funny thing is most of em manage to have husbands and families who love them, who'd have ever thunk it possible?

How dare you question the male mentallity? A man can be out of shape and be totally ugly, but that is OK. The slightest bulge on a females body is a total turn off and she must be made fun of and belitteled because of it.

I'd like to express my agreement with BOTH sides of this argument =Þ

1) Being happy with yourself is definitely needed
2) Being obese is unhealthy, and thus one should strive to fix this
3) Dressing skankily should be avoided by all (including overweight people)

Would you consider a girl who is 5'5", 135 lbs to be fat, a little overweight or fine the way she is?

Are you insinuating that agree with that doublestandard? No, but if you had noticed, we are discussing women, not men. The movie isn't "Real Men Have Curves". Where have I made fun of her for being fat?

Well, depends on how that 135lbs is distributed. Evenly = fine. All in the ass = no go.

And since you're obviously talking about your GF or a woman you're pursuing, pics or ban.

True but having to run one's life based on the possible reactions of what total strangers might think gets really old.I don't get any kind of a kick out of ragging on other people because of what they look like.I'll also say that I've been with a real fine looking man or two in my time and that if they are thoughtless mean SOB's after a very short while it doesn't matter what they look like on the outside cause their ugly personalities make them repulsive.Fortunately for me I got lucky and got me a hottie who's also actually a real sweet, decent dude:)

Body Mass Index

http://www.healthplug.com/overweight.html

135 lbs. × 0.45 = 60.75 kg
(65 inches × 2.5) ÷ 100 = 1.625 meters

Your weight (in kg) ÷ Your height (in meters)^2 = Your BMI
So, for the example:
60.75 ÷ (1.7)^2 = 23.01

To fall within the "healthy range" on the BMI, your result should be within 20 and 25. Results both smaller and greater than these values are associated with significant health risks.

I give her a 8.2

See, I think that is way too high.

since she wouldn't give you a second look anyway, I guess it doesn't matter

I agree, trying to look good only so you can find a partner would get old. I am only advocating looking good for yourself. Most guys wouldn't want their wives to let it all go once they got married. Why would the wife want to anyway? Sure, gain a few pounds, but 30? I think not. Yet again I agree. Personality and what is inside is HUGE in any long term relationship. No one should use looks as the only factor in marraige. I am happy for you Geekbabe!:)

Thats right, she'd only consider a hottie like yourself. STFU you idiot. Do you honestly think she would end up with someone whose body epitomized the perfect male physique looking like that? No. You lose.

My point and I think the major point of the movie under discussion here is that walking around judging yourself based on the opinions of the nameless, faceless collective known as "they" is a suck way to have to live.If people can feel good about themselves more power to them,I'm certainly not going to walk around ragging on them for it.

I read the first 4 posts, but I was bored so I skipped the rest. This is a good movie, and the girl wasn't half bad looking. "Ohh no, she doesn't look like kate moss." Get over it. Biatches.

Yeah women seem confused enough at what curves vs being fat is.

Same way when a woman says height and weight proportionate. Wearing a 6" heel does not mean you can use the taller woman's weight chart.

Athletic too....I mean seriously athletic is someone who should be able to run at least around the block...if you get winded getting up to get more bon-bons you are not athletic...if you can't see your toes you are definitely not athletic (unless on the blind marathon team ;))

most women also confuse voluptuous with just being a fatty. Voluptuous women do not carry pork chops in their purses...ever. ;)
