Man, I would've gone if I had known. I might not have been on Anandtech at the time, but the lan parties we have around here (local to southern charlotte) arent as "serious" or mature as id like (Im in High School). Therefore, I am greatly looking forward to this one, and to meeting more Anandtech members.

Is there an minimum age by any chance? Id understand if there was, but Id need to know ahead of time to see if I could even go. And I wouldnt be able to get a hotel room (to my knowledge) since I am not old enough. Is there anyway we could work something out?

No weapons and illegal substances is ok, but you cut out the other stuff, and you practically eliminate 2/3 of the peeps here.

Sounds like a line of crap to me! Drop striaght down 77 its only 70 miles to columbia! and 70mph speed limit the whole way(once you get out of rock hill). So its just an hour. Get driving directions and show it to em

Hell dude.. tell em blythewood is 20 miles closer to charlotte than columbia. You are really going to blythewood, not columbia.

I have a friend in Rock Hill that drops down every weekend. Takes him about 45 minutes.

I had 25-30 in a hotel confrence room, they even gave us free breakfast bar since we were up SOOOO late!! It was a blast!!

Dude! What hotel was this? Think they'd be up for letting us have another lan (the ones still here that is)? How much was the conference room? Need some info.

Sterling Inn on Woodlawn Ave, I believe I still have the guys card. The room was also VERY budget wise as well but I think he may have given me a break since I had a few people in from Atlanta staying in their rooms! Great guy, just go in and ask about their confrence rooms. The guy bent over backwards to help out, and didn't yell at us when we kept tripping breakers!! He even helped us run extension cords all over the place for more power!
