i don't think there are gonna be anymore radeons..
was at the shop in the morning and the guy said that they caused too much trouble..

🙁

Like I said... they don't want a zillion people calling them like last time. The only thing I can suggest is to have one of our guys visit the store, convince them to get more with the intention to buy the whole mess of 'em. (Or at least a significant amount.)
DO NOT TELL ANANDERS OR ANY OTHER SITE! If they get a million phone calls, they'll hate it and us. 🙁
Turn on the charm, whoever our volunteer is... Get us those cards and you'll make some really good friends on here. 😀

man, it's people like that that ruin hotdeals for us. 🙁

kaiser, try to do what bluemax said. please. 🙂

wow...fool's gonna get a crazy amount of profit.

on a side note, i hope all you bastards that bought 6 ps2's and are trying to eGay them have deadbeat bidders 😀 ... i was all hyped and i didn't get a freakin system. ooops, wrong thread, i'll start typing in bitch and moan.

someone said they may get more in 2 weeks from Saturday..
so everyone stop calling and let them rest for 2 weeks.. they i (or anyone else) can pay them a visit, if they have some in everyone will get a change at one for ~cost price, shipping and a buck or two for boxes and stuffing...

i've been getting tons of email requesting the radeons...
i can't keep track of it all (don't have d time)...
i WILL post here IF they get more radeons..
at that time i will help people...

thanx.

NO!! *DON'T* post it in here!! If you do, they'll get bombarded by calls all over again! We should work on the sidelines to bring these cards to Ananders ourselves, without hassling the store whatsoever! Someone who lives in the area and can buy a bunch of the cards for us... It wasn't Kaiser, but another lad who said he might be able to help there. I'll talk to him in private. We should be able to hammer something out that will benefit the store AND us! Best to keep this in the threads, but NOT ON THE PHONE TO THEM!! That'll screw the whole deal! :|
So nobody call 'em unless it's for something totally different, in which case you wouldn't be calling these guys since they don't ship anywhere! Okay? 😀 We'll try to get 'em for you. 🙂

yeah, when they get more in, don't post here. email moral panic. he's the one that volunteered to do the bulk buy. 3 cheers for moral panic! 😀

I've been following this thread since last Sunday. I called Above-All Monday morning but it was before the store opened. Called again about 10 a.m. and the cards were all gone. Talked to the guy and he said they get ATI cards all the time, but it is hit and miss as to what and when......

I went to the store on Thursday. They had a box of ATI cards marked as 64 mb Rage 128's. The sticker on the fan said "Rage 128 Pro". The cards only had the standard VGA and DVI connectors. The cards were $79.95 a piece and came with outdated driver disks. I bought 2 as I am setting up a coupla new systems and figured I couldn't go wrong with that price for 64 mb cards.

Saturday began as a nightmare when I attempted to install/configure one of the cards. BIOS part number was 113-00000-00 or something to that effect. I downloaded and attempted to install the Rage 128 drivers..... message box said I didn't have the right hardware for these drivers.....

Out of frustration downloaded and attempted to install Radeon drivers... SUCCESS !!!

Turns out that the cards are early Radeons with 64 mb DDR memory all mounted on the front side of the board. Card is running at 143/143 default. Used PowerStrip to up the speed and encountered video anomalies above 183/183 during benchmark testing. Been running at 175/175 for about 8 hours without any noticeable problems.

OPINION: these cards may be a very good card given the price, but be forewarned that they probably won't be able to compete with the production versions. If someone is looking for a card that matches the performance that they have read about, these cards are probably not ideal.

i've heard about the rage pro 64mb being radeons in disguise as well... i went there today and they're all gone...

Stick a fork in this deal... it's done.... too many people know about the place and are buying up all the cards.. they are selling them for $300 and up on the boards...

oh well... i'll keep checking from time to time but this sucker is over.
