All the SB motherboards are off the market, and will likely be for three or more months. You were planning to build with SB, but didn't buy before the recall. What are you going to do?

I think I'm waiting for Z68 at this point.

I'm going to wait and build with P67 or Z68, whichever has motherboards available for sale first.

Wasn't planning a new build for myself until IB at least.

A friend of mine was wanting Sandy Bridge, but since he just entered "buy now" mode we'll probably be going with a hexa-core AMD machine. It'll be a significant step up from his Sempron 3000+.

I'm going to buy a Z68 and then return my board for a refund if Z68 appears within newegg's time limit for P67 refunds.

meh gonna build a P67 and torcher the hell out of it by loading it up with all drives.

😉

I snatched a p67 intel matx 2 days ago for my i5-2500k.

Don't really care about the problem, only have 1-2 SATA drives that can be put on the SATA6

maybe RMA or look for Z68 when it comes out

I was planning on returning my SB setup but what for? I'm just going to upgrade to 2011 in 8 months. I don't even use Sata II anyway

i was going to build a p57 + 2500k/2600k, then sell the p57 and get z68.

bleerghh.. guess i'll just sit on my 'old' i7-875k and wait for z68...

I'm so glad I didn't wait too long to build my Sandybridge system... I've been waiting for months to build a new system. I would go crazy if I could not build my system for two more months.

if BD is a flop then keeping the i5 and getting vga card(s).

if i was a betting man i would bet on BD bringing performance at least on par with SB, at roughly the same price instead of being immensely cheaper.

Continue with current Sandy Bridge build plans. Ordered my board yesterday. Should be ordering rest of the parts next week.

I bought SB and mobo on release date. My rig was dead and I was using an underpowered laptop for 2 weeks. I probably would buy whatever is out. My SB rig is buggy but it still works after a reboot so I can live with it for now.
