The founder of the Organic Pastures business in California is reporting that government health officials have begun tracking down the names and addresses of natural-foods customers and showing up at their homes, demanding to confiscate any raw milk they might have.

The dispute over raw milk has reached a fever pitch in recent weeks, with a judge ruling that owners of cows have no right to the milk their herds produce, and protests being staged by mad moms whose access to such foods is being threatened.

can't have folks stay healthy by drinking good old fashioned natural foods. you will accept and take your monsanto grown vegetables and hormone-injected cow milk and become fat, sick citizens. it is the only was to bring more profits to big pharma and corporations

Just FYI, raw milk != organic milk. Pasteurization is not exactly a new or chemical-heavy process.

what? i thought WND was a trusted news source, no?

I should have added a double eye roll for those also against pasteurization. Let's also let our waste just drop in the streets. The Middle Ages were such a fabulous time for the human race - no diseases or anything rampaging through the population because of excellent hygiene and food practices.

Raw milk isn't healthier. It's a real health hazard, just like not vaccinating your kids and being a vegan. The problem is a lot of gullible people hear that something is "good for you" and believe it without question.

This. Reactionary retardation is apparently back in style.

Just another step towards nanny state. With all the crappy food that people eat these days, unpasteurized milk would be the least of my concerns.

People need to stop going overboard with the whole natural living thing. Certainly, it has some benefits but, like anything else, if not done with some amount of moderation (in this case, don't drink untreated milk from an animal's tit) it can also cost you your life. Life expectancy has almost trippled thanks to our ability to rid food and drink of deadly disease and bacteria, along with our wonderful medical practices of course.

It's just sad that the government has to waste time protecting people from themselves.

Wow... Some of the posts are beyond retardation... This fear of milk is completely irrational.

Maybe we should be afraid of brown paper bags too. Or tap water...

I drank raw milk when I was a kid, and I've been drinking it for the past 6 months and loving it... I'm a 40 year old, healthy engineer... I think I can choose for myself what milk I want to drink...

Let the sheeple enjoy their gov't sanctioned pastuerized "milk product"...

It's amazing to see the lengths people will go to defend their right to have thier freedoms destroyed...

If I ever live in your ideal country I'm going to start bottling sewer water and advertising it as "Natural Rain Water".

I'm as much opposed the government being in my kitchen as I am having them in my bedroom. I'm a big boy and if I want to take risks.....they should be mine to take.

you should do as you wish.

What's the last food product you bought?

Risk taking, is becoming doing what the Government doesn't expect.. IE tatoos.

There is very little risk taking risks in todays world. Government, Lawyers, or Insurance will ease yout fall, and ease your rise.

You can hope for a nice flat... and maybe a visit to Disney World.
