This is a serious thread about the dangers of raw fish. :colbert:



I dont think I have ever heard of fish sausages. Also, a taco by its very nature cannot exist in a raw state. :eek:

Fish balls = fish sausages
Very common in Scandinavia

I would say that negligence in food handling is the majority cause of 'food poisoning', not raw fish.

Agreed, just look at fugu. Safe food handling = delicacy, negligent food handling = death.

Anything handled properly is fine. I remember an episode of Zimmern's show where he was in Mongolia (or maybe Thailand) and they butchered a calf and started eating it raw, organs, intestines, and all. The delicacy was a piece of chest fat dipped into the hip joint fluid. They made dip for the liver using the bile.
