.wmv and other Microsoft made video technologies play like crap on other platforms. I like them using quicktime formats. They work nicely on my iBook.

uh, MPG is not a codec. and if you are referring to the MPEG-1 decoder that comes with windoze, it requires A LOT of bandwidth to look good, much more than QuickTime. I'm not a quicktime fan, but until the average consumer has an MPEG-4 decoder on their computers, I guess QuickTime is where it's at.

I guess you haven't familiarized yourself with Quicktime 6. It has MPEG-4 built in.
