RANT - Why do slow drivers drive in fast lanes?

LOL... that's exactly how most people think... so they drive on their merry way at 65 on the fast lane... despite the fact that there's a line of cars behind them...

It pissed me off too... even more when i went to see how they drove in Germany... geez... only two freakin lanes but NO ONE blocks the left lane... ...only in my dreams would that ever happen here.

So people who drive 55 (or slower) in the Left lane bother you, but what about the insane crack-head drivers that tail-gate me while I'm driving in the *right* hand lane, all the while there is plenty of room to simply pass me?

What kind of moron is it that thinks you can stop a car in a car length? It takes 3 seconds to stop a car.. a second to react and 2 to stop *if* the weather is good. Hence the way most people drive if there is an accident ahead of them they *will* smash into the people in front of them.

Part of the left hand driving problem too is that you can get stuck in the left lane because as I said, the crack-head tail-gaiting freaks can't give the guy in the left (1) Time to get into the right hand lane and (2) Zoom up on the right and don't allow them to get into the right lane.

What is worst are women drivers who drive slow in the passing lane. Somehow they are genetically programmed to speed up when someone tries to pass them in order to prevent you from doing so. Then once the passer backs off they slow back down again.

I was in the car with my wife when I told her how stupid some women drivers are and I said check this out. I pulled up next to this woman going slow in the passing lane (in fact there was no one else around but she still drove in the left lane) and she kept going faster and faster until I hit about 90 and she wouldn't slow down. Then I slowed back down to 65 and she did too. Then I did it again and again she kept me from passing her. I was laughing my ass off and my wife was like what is she doing.

Actually, that's incorrect.

If you're going the speed limit and are in the fast lane, and some asswipe comes up behind you at Mach 2, then you, according to Utah State law, must yield to the person and change lanes. You can be ticketed otherwise.

The asswipe will be ticketed long before the person legally in the left hand lane is. I drive the left lane all the time. I yeild to law enforcment and emergency vehicles. I usually run 78-80 in the left. If someone runs up my tailpipe, likesome punk that thinks HE has the right to be there running FASTER then me, then we have a problem. I can assure you, that individual gets my attention right away. And it isn't he attention they expect. My cell is activated to HP and I report the abuser immediately.

While u are at it do u report youself too - for phoning while driving. I hate obnoxious bastards that try to be the police.

And what is the maximum speed there? At what speed are you fined?

I love it when people whine "I want to break the law, but you stop me from doing it! You should be locked up!!".
Guess we should let the snipers go too, after all they were just breaking a few laws, nothing strange there.

Don't understand the low speed limits in the US anyway, far lower than in Europe, distances are greater, and people won't stick to it anyway (unless there is a cop in sight).
