RANT - Why do slow drivers drive in fast lanes?

I hate people who pull out in front of you when they could have waited but yet they are going slower than you are and that disturbs the whole process of me relaxing while driving...

also, USE THE DAMN CRUISE IF YOU HAVE A VEHICLE THAT HAS IT!

Take 6 RMPs and put 2 cars in each lane, except for the left lane. Anyone tries to pass, pull them over for exceeding the speed limit. That way, people will be free to break the law

people who drive so slow in the left lane are not just oblivious drivers. they are DANGEROUS drivers. messing up the flow of traffic like that creates accidents. i tolerate the dumbasses and have never honked my horn/tailgated/etc. but i try to avoid them/pass them as quickly as possible so someone doesnt rearend me or anything

This American agrees with you completely. I've been saying for years that we need a driver's ed program like the one in Germany. I think there should also be mandatory track training so that drivers are better versed on emergency maneuvers.

I've got the best reason of all. I had this air headed girl friend about 20 years ago that said she liked the left lane better because it was smoother and it was her right to drive in whatever lane she wanted at whatever speed!

It's Semi's that need to be outlawed from the 3rd lane if there is one, thats fine that they pass in 2nd lanes, but once they reach city limits 3rd/4th/5th6th (whatever the far left in your city is) lane should be banned for them.

Around here, at least on the 290 between running between Austin and Houston, trucks stay on the right.

If you're going the speed limit and are in the fast lane, and some asswipe comes up behind you at Mach 2, then you, according to Utah State law, must yield to the person and change lanes. You can be ticketed otherwise.

If you're going the speed limit and are in the fast lane, and some asswipe comes up behind you at Mach 2, then you, according to Utah State law, must yield to the person and change lanes. You can be ticketed otherwise.

The asswipe will be ticketed long before the person legally in the left hand lane is. I drive the left lane all the time. I yeild to law enforcment and emergency vehicles. I usually run 78-80 in the left. If someone runs up my tailpipe, likesome punk that thinks HE has the right to be there running FASTER then me, then we have a problem. I can assure you, that individual gets my attention right away. And it isn't he attention they expect. My cell is activated to HP and I report the abuser immediately.

EDIT- This reminds me... I pissed-off a lady the other morning going to work. I was going 65-70 in a 60 zone. When I finally had to change lanes to exit, she flew past me and told me I was #1. I was LOL!!!

True that...at least what I saw in my several weeks in Germany/Belgium/Netherlands. It was refreshing seeing people use turn signals and Keep Right Except To Pass.
