Radeon, thanks for the HELPFUL post this time. I appreciate the info. I am gonna go ahead and remove the ati*.* and nv*.* files now. Ill be back in a bit with any updates.

well, no luck on that. I guess Ill start backing up all my data now...YAY!

uggh...formats are getting old..

2 things:
First, remove all files pertaining to nvidia if possible.
Second, delete all *.dso files. These are tribes configuration files and deleteing them will reoptimize the next time you start. Also there are funny settings like indoor fog and one other one that screw things up big time. Turn those off.

UPDATE: didnt format. Im just gonna send the card back. Turns out Im strapped for money now. I had banked on using my taz return to pay my bills for the next 2 months. Innitially I was getting back like $775, now my mom decides to claim me and I only get back $179 :|

Ugggh whatever, its her right I guess. Guys thanks a lot for the help, sorry to have wasted your time.

In your bios make sure that your AGP Aperture size is set to 128 or higher(I would try 256) and turn off fast writes if they are enabled.
