There is a HUGE weight difference and almost no power difference (depending on the car and bike of course - speaking generally). Sorry, but the car, unless it's an elite level Lotus or Bugatti or something like that, hasn't a prayer.
Theres a video out there of a highly modded viper keeping up with a stock Busa.
Yeah..IIRC it was a 900HP Viper and either a tock Hayabusa or one with a modified intake..
btw busas are pretty slow these days.. they are low on Horsepower compared to the other liter bikes now..
GSXR 1000s spank busas becasue they are lighter with more HP...
so do ZX-10s..
busa is way way way too heavy to be taken seriously as anything but a sport touring bike
there are cars here in Houston that CAN and DO eat bikes..
such as a Henesey Viper with a Vortech supercharger pushing over 1100 hp...
and a CXI Corvette that is running 1300 HP and 400 more in NOS in a C5 body..
they are 8 second cars and will stomp a mudhole even on the street in a bikes ass...
there are a few NASTY Supras outa Dallas that can eat bikes as well..
but again these cars are insanely modified...
stock supercars still cannot keep up with bikes even cars like Mclarens cannot match a liter bike in accelleration or 1/4 mile... they may catch up after a while with thier higher top end but that bike is gonna put some serious lenghts out to over a mile..
Ive raced alot of Ferraris and other high end pasta rockets as well as some German gems.. not one has been able to hang as most drivers are not willing to really see how fast the car will go..
they seem to lose intrest pretty fast when a bike throws 7 lenghts on them in less than 100 feet.
