Should we start a thread for it, or just hijack this one? :p

Even if they are off duty and working a second job? I thought most Police departments banned this? Or is it only a ban on paper?

Over here, we have city security. These guys dress kinda like cops, only fruitier. And they have no power :D
I really don't know WHAT their job is. I think they can call the cops for backup if they need to, but they're not allowed to arrest anyone. They don't have guns, cuffs, mace, or anything like that. But they wear bulletproof vests. THESE are the guys we make fun of over here.
They drive around in white Minivans with yellow stripes and the hood has "Security" written on it backwards, and has a phone number to reach city hall.

Lol this thread reminds me of a incident about a month ago. I was driving into a parking lot drive way to go to the bank that had a alley way in the back and there was a stop sign when you approached the alley way to get to the parking lot. My friend was driving in front of me and he stopped and went to the parking lot and I saw a white car about 40 meters coming down the alley way and just went with a rolling stop.

I got out of my car and so did my friend. The guy in his car got out and told me I should stop at the sign. I said "I saw your car pulling in all the way down there" and pointed. He said "you should still stop". My friend said "its a privataly owned area where stop signs are just used for precaution its not the law" he pulled out what i saw was a EMT badge (it was red) and reiterated "You Should Stop Anyway!".

This guy seemed like a dick. I mean ya he might be saving lives. But I couldn't have caused an accident by rolling a stop sign when everything was clear.
