RANT: Could you please let me drink my water in peace!?

Today, while filling up my water bottle, one of my co-workers noticed I was filling it up with water from the fountain. She instantly mentioned how wrong it was to drink water from an unfiltered source, because it contains chemicals and impurities and other crap like that inside.

Well, guess what, bucko -- I DON'T CARE!!

I'm a healthy boy, and maybe it's because of those supposed chemicals in the water. Let me drink my water however I want to. I'm not paying $1 for 20 oz of water when I can get it for free. Water is water! :|:|

Saltboy, I have no idea why someone would tell you not to use fitered fountain water, if you like it then WTF do they care? That said:


I thought everybody knows you don't fill water bottles from the city water source, you fill them from the water cooler that the company pays for. At least that's how it worked in my office.



That is, until the company realizes they are buying 50billion jugs of water each week/month because people are drinking way more than normal because they are bringing in gallon jugs and buckets from home and filling them up. Then the company decides to stop buying any water so we are back to the poisoned fountains. :|


Maybe that just happens at fortune 500 companies?

Considering all the impurities they've found in our water (including arsenic), I think I'll stick to my Ozarka. I don't mind paying a few dollars a month to get high quality, clean, excellent tasting water.

Tap water tastes horrible.

Well, that all depends on where you live.

Yep. The regular tab-water in Finland (even in bigger cities like Helsinki) is actually higher quality than bottled water is. And it tastes like regular water (well duh!), unlike some of the bottled waters.
