I think the problem is that you feel that not only should someone be able to act the way they want, but in addition no onlooker should be able to dislike it. The world does not work that way. What does bother me is the culture that seems to have become the "Accepted" gay culture. I find it repulsive. If a dude plays football, dresses like a man and acts like a manly man but admits he's gay, that doesn't really bother me since I don't bother to know that side of a guy anyway. But when you get a guy who wears fruity clothes, acts like a woman, is effeminate, and has the typical vocal opinionated, left wing attitude, that's where the problem is.
