Yes. Still serial port, and parallel port for printer as well. Still IDE cd drives. All HDs are SATA. Mouse is USB, keyboard is PS/2.

2 in row now without a floppy drive. Although, this frackin' gigabit ethernet card I just bought came with a 3.5" driver disk... Luckily Windows knew what it was.

Yep, since when I need to reinstall windows I have to load the RAID drivers from floppy. So it's not a waste of space (not that it was in the first place), I replace the regular floppy drive with a USB combo drive so I can transfer files from my digital camera to my computer using a smartmedia reader.

Yep, it's about 12 or 14 years old, but still works okay. It came with my first PC and I keep moving it over to every new box. Every great once in a while it comes in handy.

Same here. Only it's 11 years old. I painted it black to match my case.

Does a floppy drive that I fried 5 years ago when I incorrectly connected the power cable, count? I've never bothered to replace it, but I always put a floppy in when I put a computer together for others. They're cheap and once in a blue moon people really do need them.

Not on the laptop, but I like to have one on my desktop for memtest and bios upgrades. I just don't like doing that stuff in Windows. I recently paid $4 to get one to match the black case I got 4 years ago. I just got sick of that ugly beige face messing up my color scheme!

yes.

it was only $10, the case as space for a floppy drive, and I do use it occasionally (for drivers when doing OS installs), so what's the down side?

Yes. I still have the unnatural fear that one day I may need to use a boot disk. Damn you 640K of conventional memory!
