😕
I have three slots for RAM on my Microstar K8T Neo-FSR.
Two of the slots have Kingston 512MB PC3200 CL3 184-Pin DIMM memory.
I have just purchased both of these sticks:
Kingston 256MB PC3200 CL3 184-Pin DIMM
Kingston 512MB PC2700 CL2.5 184-Pin DIMM
1. Would I be better off using the third slot for the 256mb since it is the same type of memory? How would using mixed memory types affect my system?
2. Completely off topic, but would mixing and matching different brands of ram have a negative effect on my system?
